I am tagging along with a renault sport rolling road day this coming saturday, 2nd May. The location is Rs tuning in Leeds. The price is 35 pounds and will include a boost and afr trace, so i have been reliably informed. Any interest?

Not sure how many cars are going Phil, if there isn't too many it may finish early which would mean you might turn up and there'd be nobody there. I would think 11o'clock would be ok though.
I tested my clutch by going uphill, putting it in 4th at low revs then flooring it, this puts loads of load on it and made mine slip when it was knackered.
Also, i think u can try having the car at a standstill, put the handbrake on, put it in 3rd, rev to about 1800rpm,and slowly lift clutch up. That would make it slip if it was on way out.
The RR wont put as much load on as road driving so you should be ok to run, even if you are getting the 1st signs of slippage

Good-ish results for me and Phil today. Here are my graphs; As can be seen, there is a dip in power around 5600rpm. Possibly a bit mre advance needed at that point? It also seemed to run richer as the runs progressed, i don't know why? Maybe the boost could do with a tweak at around 4600rpm? Interested to hear peoples thoughts on these results as i cant help but feel my spec should be getting a higher power output (GT28R, FMIC, SIP, Aquamist, Apexi AVC-R, 3" DP), what do you reckon?

it doesn't make a big difference. When we were at Racing Line in halifax mine was ran in 3rd and 4th. The differences were minimal!

Like you say, the results are pretty good with 287bhp and 283lbs/ft, the car is nice and torquey in the midrange The reason peak power is not quite where it should be is due to the torque dropping off quite sharply for a GT28R. Given that it is boosting well i.e. 1.4bar holding 1.2bar at 7000rpm, it could be the engine is being strangled at the top end with too much back pressure. Then again the turbo may be a little tired as it's done a far few miles or perhaps charge temps are a little elevated. Don't change the boost profile, the little dip at 4600rpm is only 0.03bar! It's actually very smooth and holding it perfectly. All in the car appears to be running well with good fueling and boost. As long as it feels great on the road like you mentioned last week then I would just enjoy On another dyno you might make an extra 10-15bhp, but as you know it won't change anything in reality.

And mine here. With k+n panel filter and cat back scorpion. link Was as I expected, pretty chuffed that a new mapped clio 197 was only running at 180bhp where as my 10 year old rusty fiat was as it should be.

are you not running a tad lean phil as you come on boost ? on your graphs its only at 5500 rpm you get to sort of where you want to be 11.5 - 12afr
