Having just taken these Excite 17" alloys off of my 20v, I took them to a local garage to have them fitted to my new 20vt only to be told they don't clear the Brembos. I had thought they would as Tartandude has a set which look identical but don't need spacers.

So, I guess I need spacers and longer bolts? I'm not sure which to go for though. Searching through old posts, it seems hubcentric spacers are safer but cost more. How do I know which size to go for? Should those with a 5mm track be enough??

If anyone can point me in the direction of the best price and exact ones I need I'd be extremely grateful! smile

To find out what size you need, get lots of washers and stick them together, then bolt your wheel onto you hub with the washers between hub and wheel and see if it clears brembos.

Keep doing it until you have the right amount of washers and measure the width.. . . .. Job done.

I use 20mm H&R Hubcentric because if you need a big spacer, you really don't want stupidly long bolts and a normal spacer IMO

Tom, was that 20mm a side, or 20mm total?

20 per side! To be honest I could probably get away with 16mm per side but the 20mm were bought second hand on the cheap.
