Just spotted this black LE on Pistonheads here

Obviously it needs some work doing to it (hmmm I'm a bit suspicious about the fuel pump failure), but surely at £600 it is a bargain! The interior alone would fetch £500 surely?

Anyone tempted?

If I was sure the engine was Ok, I'd be seriously thinking of snapping this up. Get a respray and fix the other bits and you could have a mint LE for around £3.5K I reckon

That's a bargain.

Even if the engine was shot, it needed a new turbo, new disks and pads, tyres and a good clean, you'd end up with a lovely LE for about £3k.

If I lived in the UK I'd have it for £600

i think it will need a bit more than a respray to b honest. it would probably make you a bit if you break it - but i think to get it to mint you looking at spending at least 3k.

Problem is, without being able to drive it you have no idea what it is like mechanically so it would be a bit of a gamble... but at that price, it's worth it if you've got the time, effort and money available to make it into a minter.

Who cares about the condition

When this was last running, it was a seriously quick car.

Thats all you need to know about it and it's owner.

It would make a great restoration project if you've got a spare £4K but I doubt it will be a cheap fix up.

I thought mine was a bit rough!

Well worth that though, you'd get most of that back from the interior alone.

I must resist, the better half would kill me!

Interior's worth at least £500, Red Brembo's £150, Then you've got everything else. Bargain!

Hi Everybody... I have just bought the car being mentioned.. I have paid £500 for it .. It needs some work but ive taken a gamble as at that price i couldnt resist.. When it arrives i will let you all know how good or bad it is.. The aim is to chuck around £2500 at it, A relitive runs a bodyshop so paintwork will be fairly cheap smile I am new to the forum but hope to get to know you all ..

Thanks Guys... I just spoke to the guy and i think he regrets letting it go so cheap now as he said he had 6 calls after me and i can quite believe that .. It is number 0557 !! A quick question are the black and red handbrake grip and gearknob available from anywhere as they have some wear.. Also I need a new front bumper as one of the lips is damaged .. I understand how hard this will probably be to get .. But does anyone happen to know of one ?? I know you can get after market ones but i want to keep it original .. smile
