Hi, Just gave the coop a full service, installed a gtec1 chip, induction kit and I also have a powerflow cat back.
Turbo re-built a month ago and ive cleaned intercooler and pipework
Everything else is standard.

What should I be expecting to run on the rollers?

Thanks, Nathan smile

There is lots of info in the tuning section. Your next step would be around 300bhp, and would cost a few grand to get there:

Intercooler
midpipe / downpipe
Hybrid turbo
Mapping

possibly a clutch if yours is a bit worn.

Good advice from Suba I just finished my mods (hybrid, fmic, fleamap etc) and my clutch lasted 2 weeks before it started slipping and it was in perfect working order!

I may be wrong but I feel that could be the key at this level of tuning. Even a manual PRV set at 1.2 bar gives an increase in power over the standard EBV. An electronic boost controller (EBC) such as Greddy, Apexi, Blitz etc may seem like overkill at this level but if you're planning further mods it's a worthwhile investment.

Or better still, talk to Leighton and get a FleaMap! evil

couple of monthes ago i had the same mods with a boost controller and made 290bhp but very lean got a lot of other mods now just need to get them on so i reckon rudkin you will get around 245bhp if its a good healthy engine and turbo!!!!!

Sweet, going to be a week or two until I can get on the rollers as the garage recommended to me doesnt roll at the weekend!! Unless anyone can recommend another one in my area? Near Nottingham/Lincoln/Peterborough?

MABR mentioning a fleamap, what sort of improvements can be had by having one of these running at this spec?

You aren't suggesting you'd make that power on the OPs mods are you? Typo?

Rudkin, what should you expect? Nothing. Don't go to a dyno hoping for big numbers, especially on a car you've never had on the rollers before. It could well be making less than standard figures. How many miles has it covered?

F****** b****** thing...

You also need to remember that a dyno (even the same one can give readings that vary 20-30 bhp...)

Yes - pretty much. It can also make the car more drivable + iron out flat spots etc., eg. if you asked Flea to make the car kick more when it comes on boost that is doable etc.

However any changes that you make to the spec of the car will need a re-map.

I would go for a live map once you are running a bigger intercooler and turbo. smile

right, so considering any more mods now, after the chip, exhaust, prv, will be big bucks as il have to get a new turbo etc...
so, realy il get a better to drive coupe for not alot of cash with a fleamap?
so when cash allows, should i rr first, or just get the old coupe up there after its service and let him sort everything?

The Fleamap will probably give you more bang per buck than any other mod, Gtec1 included! You don't have to get the car on the RR before the map, but it is always nice to have some before and after figures/ graph. smile
