right, so i bought my coupe on a car auction, almost no papers, couldn't even start it, haven't see the previous owner. I went to buy a land rover seen coupe and thought i'll take it as it looks better,

now i have a riddle. i know somebody changed gew things but the problem is I have no idea what! so far i know taht:
~ tubo charge pressure dial is installed (in the place of clock)
~ fuel/air intake ration gauge is added
~ boost controler installed (greddy something - a blue one with display)
~ k&N air filter instead of the factory one
~ 18' alloys with low (very low) profile tires

I wouldn't be suprised if few more things have been changed but i have no idea what. anyone would like to help?

forgot to add the most important: it's a R reg 20v turbo

well how are we supposed to know?

at a pure guess...some one has...

~ tubo charge pressure dial is installed (in the place of clock)
~ fuel/air intake ration gauge is added
~ boost controler installed (greddy something - a blue one with display)
~ k&N air filter instead of the factory one
~ 18' alloys with low (very low) profile tires

i would guess....that its possable its running a gtec or some other aftermarket chip, what does it boost to?

in all honestly, no one is going to be able to tell you anything usefull. If you are at all in doubt, go take it to one of the coupe recomended garages to get them to look over it

if you have no history my first advice is to go get the belts changed, oil cooler pipes checked/replaced, undertray put on if its missing. And it put back to a standerd chip...or get the fueling checked on a RR

thanks,
so far:
belts changed,
pipes checked,
missing covers added,

things on to do list:
balance wheels,
exhaust mount to be changed (something starange down there according to my mechanic)
one of the dials not working (left hand side top corner showing some temperature)

how can i check if i have a standard or not chip?

If you don't like upleasent surprises why did you go to an auction with seemingly little knowledge about cars to buy a car from an unknown owner that you've never seen before, never seen running, and with no paperwork?? crazy

Post up pics of the interior, the front bumper, and the engine bay - in particular the pipework and the turbo.

Hi Panjote,
You went to an auction and came away with a coupe instead of a landrover!
Well I can fully understand your purchase.
Thats what the coupe does, grabs your heart and says "buy me".
So now you need to know what you've got underneath.
Firstly you've come to the right place, as the forum is the font of knowledge and your new best friend.
However, because there's no service history, you really need a trained mechanic (with experience of the coupe) to look over the car and do a full health cheak.
It,s a fast car and you don't want anything to go wrong on the move.
The cambelt is very important because it doesn't last forever and if it breaks it will make a big mess of your valves and head.
Many people on here will give you helpfull technical advice but you will need to ask more specific questions.

Don't forget many of your questions have been asked before, so using the search function will give you most of the answers you need.
Good luck and welcome.
Tim
