I cant stop reading this thread, it sounds SOOOO exciting would an old 16v be welcomed along amongst the moster 20vt ,before i even start to plan anything. not fussed about track, more the social side and drive over there, also watching the track action,

Ferries, as soon as you like, currently you can get return tickets Dover/Dunkirk for less than £50.00 return with Norfolk Line.

Hotels, we won't have anything firmed up until early next year.

Well it would be good if a few of us get the Ferry together (can't beat a convoy)

So I intend to book the same as this year :-

12:00 Friday 18/06 ferry from Dover to Dunkirk
20:00 Sunday 20/06 ferry from Dunkirk to Dover

steven of course you should come, i'm a track virgin too (at over 50 yrs of age) and the social side appeals to me too. your car as a coop would be more than welcome i'm sure, variety is the spice and all that. you could convoy down with mcmike and me, and any others we can meet up with....

mike let me know the ferry company you book with - if i sent the money to your account maybe you'd book mine too?

Imho the 8am ferry is better as you miss the Friday afternoon traffic on the Brussels Ring. That's the one I shall use.

Coming back the 8pm one works out fine.

The ferry company Dover Dunkirk is Norfolk line if that is what you are asking.

I've usually got at least one spare helmet in stock but we are a little ahead of ourselves just now. A few excited people which is good.

Go and get one. An okay helmet is about £60. And you'll be able to use it when you go karting as well.

Just replaced the brake discs and the MAF sensor on the Alfa (which was already causing serious performance drops last time) and I'm giving it a full checkup this week to get rid of some squeeks (some dry rubbing door panels and interior trim). I'll be trying out some other tweaks as well (getting rid of some weight mainly) so that'll keep me ahead of the quite-standard 20vt's. Eat my dust. Or should that be... breathe my smoke?

i just wanted to inform you that i will not organise the event next year. I left the french coupé club (fiatcoupe.fr) because of different problems with some people.

i'm pretty sure that the club's holders won't prepare something as they all live in the south of france.

So you will have to book by yourselves. maybe the FCCUK may do it...

The club here is looking to organise something for Spa as we were aware to some extent of the problem in France. You will be very welcome to join us.

these helmets then - is there a particular standard/marque that is required, or is a bog standard motorcycle helmet ok? i'm assuming it would need to be approved by some governing body or other??
