My Brembos have turned a nice golden colour from the stock silver (see below) through getting them quite warm on a couple of track days laugh

[Flame suit] I actually quite like the gold colour ... I think it works well with the gold flake in Scotts Green. I'm currently refurbing a spare set of front and back calipers, and so am wondering whether I should go with gold, rather than silver/red? [/Flame suit]

Does it look too much like a scooby-wannabee nono ? What do you think?

Gold will look ok with your car, as long as you keep it the gold colour they have currently turned too.

The wrong shade of gold/yellow wouldn't look good, but the right shade and they'll look nice smile

I drove a few more trackdays and they got dark bronze.. smile
So prepare for that unless you paint them.

As Per above. I had an Uno T, which developed a weird rusty/coppery colour on the front calipers as they got too hot on a couple of racing days.

Apparently on cast iron or cast alloy calipers if the colour changes it's indicative of metal fatigue. Not sure if this applies to the painted Brembo calipers though...

smile

they look king of nice, agreed that green is one of the few colors that will actually pull this off

is there any point in painting them? your likely just to boil the paint off?

I thought I'd get a lot of flack for suggesting this laugh
But it seems that most people seem to like the idea ... I suppose the fact that they are gold already helps laugh
