wasnt sure wether to put this in styling/tuning or handling section, so here we are....
iv bought my old coop back..again..long story..and im keeping it this time..no more car juggling haha...i will be unlikely to be using it every day though and would like to keep it and , perhaps, modify it gently for trackday useage, whilst keeping it road legal in case it has to be pushed into emergency service on the odd occasion...
my plans are for a strut brace, new wishbnes, eibach lowered springs and, eventually new shockers.
engine wise, im thinking the basic remap to improve driveability and torque, and a good service as and when needed..
now, my question is to you guys who own track cars/lightened cars. does stripping out the rear seats, trim, carpets, headlining spare wheel, air con compressor and a/c radiator make a huge difference to the cars feel and GO...id really like to tinker about with the old bus, and if doing these things affects its value it wont really matter as im not gona sell it anyway...i reckon yur gonna lose a 100kg or so by this??..id thought of stripping out most non essentials and fitting a weld in rear cage and lightweight seats,...does a cars attitude/feel markedly change with these mods combined with the suspension mods im thinking about??..any advice greatly appreciated, gbn
