I haven't really planned anything yet, but I've been thinking about it, which is a start

Been thinking about a pub meal and a drive out somewhere, possibly towards the end of November/beginning of December and make it a Winter/Christmas meet.

Cat and Fiddle by Buxton is usually popular, but the weather can be bad








Anyone have suggestions as to what they want to do or places they want to go for a meet/meal/drive?

Depending on when and what time, and also whether or not you mind a lardy Vauxhall tagging along, I'd be up for this

I'd be up for a blackpool lights type thing, especially if it's on a weekend day and early enough that I could bring little'un to see the lights (but with enough time to get her home for (late) bed )

Would a weekend day be better for most people? Say a Saturday or Sunday meet around 4pm ish? Or earlier?

Chance for a chat, etc and then a drive through the lights?

I'll have a look over the weekend and try and find out what time the lights switch on, etc and where we could meet up.

I work every other weekend, so the sort of dates I'd be looking at in November would be, 1st, 14th/15th, 28th/29th. December would be 12th/13th.

Nothing funny about Blackpool Paul, really, I spent a weekend there a couple of weeks ago and couldn't wait to leave!

Lol, I was 18 when I last went there, so nearly 20 years ago

Anyway, after doing some research, the illuminations are only showing until the 8th November Thought they were on for longer than that.

So, best dates for me would be 17/18th October or 31st October/1st November.

can't do any of them I'm afraid. maybe the 1st november at a push! Amsterdam for the first weekend, then will be at Santa pod for the second weekend.

Well I defo can't do 17th or 18th October as it's my anniversary and we're going away. I've voted for Sat 31st.

Would definitely like to have it an early/late afternoon type meet up (maybe earlier if people fancy having the whole day there), then I'd be able to get off home at about 7pm so that little'un is back on time. There's no way I could do this on a sunday though, as she has school the following day and would be too knackered.

So for me it would need to be a saturday - if that's impossible then no worries

There's plenty of crap in Blackpool to waste a day. I will probably be over at my lasses spot so will only be an hour or so away.

Daytime isn't really any good for me...but if there are others going later in the afternoon then we could meet somewhere before travelling through the lights?
