Gouki sold his vinci for £5500 but it had lots of mods and a new engine. Was truly MINT.

It is a realistic price because if someone really wants it they will buy it and its only around that figure that I would consider parting with it (plate and the wheels are worth 1500)

Gorgeous car, worth every penny if you want a Vinci LE, they are worth what people are prepared to pay. If I wanted a Vinci, had buckets of cash and it was the only one that had come up for years, I'd buy it!

i love my coops really... and i know what there worth.
If i had 6.5k to spend though id buy lukes for around 3800....
and spend the rest on a holiday a small run about some Le seats. a new tele a new computer and perhaps some thing nice for the wife.......

Vinci Grey, second only in colour to Moon Grey. If I had known how many people wanted one I would have sexed up the price of my Vinci (with an extra limited edition portafino bonnet no less).

Great colour, be amazed if anyone pays £6500 for one though.

Its not just limied edition but a rare colour that looks damn good on the coupe.

i see this car every week and it is truely a minter and worth the 6.5k that EDz is asking for it , the body work is mint and the paint looks like its just come out of the factory and the sound it make is loverly , and i know how much the wheels are worth . stick to your price EDz its well worth the price m8 .

As someone who's always looking for the cheapest of the cheap, I personally think thats priced not to sell.

However, I think its probably priced right, as they are SOO rare at the moment.

I would not bother to compare a car vs another car without being more detailed.

No, I would not say that a 'fiat Coupes' go wrong more than any other 10/15 year old performance turbo car.

Looking at the technical sector is by no means a measure of how much the car goes wrong, as it does not take into account numerous variables such as previous condition and maintenance of the car etc. Any such hypothesis about the technical sector is flawed.

I think it's great that you are prepared to stand by the quality of your car and ask a high price. If more owners do that, perhaps people will realise how criminally undervalued these cars are.

I was in a similar position last year, asking a bit more for my car than many thought it was worth, because I wasn't in a rush to sell. After four months I got the price I was after (more than Edz is asking).

Is right. I paid almost 5.5k for my R reg Sprint Blue std 20Vt.

These cars are undervalued so i think its worth every penny really, i payed £2300 for my coupe about 1 1/2 years ago and i thought these cars were bargains when i started looking at buying one.
strange how they are so undervalued, but i think those times will change.

Erm, well it was a while ago Possibly about 4 to 5 years!

I paid £9.5k for mine, but that was OK as a few months before that it was up for £12k!!!

I heard a rumour that Barnacle paid alot more than that, and it was just for a 16v don't tell him he was ripped off though, he gets touchy about it

When you are buying a car, you are not just buying the car- but also the time and attention the owner has given to the car.

Now from a performance and style point of view, Coupes are already undervalued.

Add to this the fact that most Coupe owners really love their Coops and dedicate a lot of time and hard work to them, when you think about it...it's really shocking!

I think one big issue is being ignored- What would the insurance pay-out be on the car... If you can't get an agreed value then that would influence how much I paid for the car.

Hi Mate, stock valeo clutch and stock turbo, decat is more for the lovely noise it makes, I know there are cheaper ones, but this is real nice motor, Im still having doubts to part with it. Thanks for the positive comments , like you said what else do you get as good for the money.

Wow....that is one good looking coupe. If i had £6k to spend on a car, this would be the one. Drop the front down half an inch (maybe 1 inch) and I think it would be perfect.

They were saying that about 4 years ago when I had my first coop.....the broom yellow one.
Nothing has changed and they are still as cheap to buy and very expensive when things go wrong.

I just paid £2000 for a 2001 and 56000 mile (how old is your pensioner and mileage ?) 20VT,leather and all the trimmings...in excellent nick as well.

Spit - The average price for an LE is £4000 for a good condition one. Edz coupe is Mint - and i can assure you there will be someone who will be willing to pay "near" to that for a mint coupe. Its a bit out of my price range to be honest

Yes £2000 may get you a coupe that looks nice - infact even £1500... i will come back to the person in a year and ask them how much money they have had to spend....



Some people buy cars on here for the passion of the car, i would feel happier paying the extra for a coupe that has been looked after. If someone slaps on a "stupidly" high price on their coupe then it shows me that they have cared for that car and have put a lot of money into it.

I owned a 20v NA Coupe - They go for about £800... there is no way on earth i would have let it go for less than £2500. While that is 20vt money you would not find another car in any of the ranges in the condition that my one was for that price.

Peorsonally spit i think Edz in denial and he will end up holding onto that coupe for ever lol

As I said in my earlier post....I would definitely pay over £6k for this coupe. I am currently trying to raise £4k to buy my first LE (Had a few Coupe's but never an LE) and I am seriously considering holding off and saving a bit more to get hold of this one. The only problem is, when I get to the £5k mark and I have access to pretty much any decent LE up for sale, will I have the will power to keep saving......I hope so.

If you are able to save up for a bit longer i would - there are always good LEs that come up and i think anything above £4k and your defo on the right track!

Spit is entitled to his opinion and he did really well getting a sorted coupe with that mileage at that price, but the fact remains, several people on this thread have said they would pay £6250 for this coupe if they had it...in my humble opinion that means its worth £6250.

Sorry to burst that bubble but a lot of LE's didn't get registered as LE's. They just show up as 20vt's on the DVLA database, blame the dealers.....

i agree with a lot of comments on here but i do feel an owners valuation always IS a lot higher than say the glass guide...personally i dont think theres many people prepared to pay the asking price.. like a good few people on here i wouldn't pay anywhere near it but i always pay close to true market value of any car i buy ... i am prepared to say that i bet theres some good examples about when sat side by side and detailed wouldnt look a poor 2nd and at half the value... of course not an le..
i have owned 4 20vt's and would say they have all been the best value bang for buck cars i have owned all avg condition but decent histories and none have let me down..unlike most jap cars i have had!! my last 3 if bought alltogether would still only total £5400! 2007-£2200,2008-£1600,2009-£1600..of which the 2008 porto endured the famous nordschliefe track a 1200 mile roadtrip on little more than a good service new tyres and brakes! so impressed with reliability...maybe i have just been lucky! i do love these cars and hope you realise a sale at that price however it is probably the most optmistic ad i have seen on here. just my opinion ..good luck either way.mj

I see where your coming from but you have to understand LE's are becoming very rare and to add to the LE fact its a Vincy which are very hard to come buy.

since joining the forum ive only ever seen 3 forsale so as an owner id price it high aswell.

if somebody wants a car in the right condition and colour then they will pay for it.

Book value is rubbish for anything slightly unusual - my Mini was valued by a dealer at £5300 yesterday, I would get £7500 privately Might work for a silver 1.6 Focus...

Maybe so but this has not sold. A strong indicator that it is valued too high.

I do like the fact that this LE is showing people what these cars should be valued at though. However I cant see it selling at this price.

Fact is this is not a car you book the Coupe & the GTA has alway booked at crap money (prices you wish you could get them at) e.g I just got a 147gta its books at 4k if you can get one for that money let me know because I would gladly buy it, I have always sold the cars for way more than book, I know I have priced it strong but its not heaps of money either for what you get, but it is a classic in my eyes Cheers for the positive comments

I was lucky when I got mine. MotorMech is not far from me and looks after all my cars. I happened to ask him if he knew of any good LE's for sale and not long after I bought his!!
I originally wanted a Chrono but TBH (and Silver was my last choice really) they look great in all colours IMO.

Im quite happy to keep the Coupe, it just not getting the use it deserves I would like someone like myself who would enjoy the car and look after it the same way I have, having owned the car for nearly 5 years just giving someone else a chance to have it (this is my 4th Coupe and second grey L.E )

Theres very little difference between yours and mine....

apart from the fact that yours works, the bodywork is better, wheels are clean and non standard, leather is in better nick...other than that there identical, you'd be getting a good deal

I always knew this would be a work in progress at all times and although I might sound a little negative towards it now.....I still love it.
