There is a small get together at my place for a BBQ next sat weather permiting

Its a Ausy theme bring your meat and slap it on BBQ, Safe parking just up the road from me in a carpark or if there is room behind my house which is private parking and both parking spots are ok for lowered coupes from personal testing laugh

Guys, it looks like having started this thread, I've missed the updates. Working overtime from home today but I'll keep a better eye on this and attend next time.

all we need is a venue and i still pick my town penistone perfect car park out of the way and a pub lunch or fish n chips.

Last Sunday of this month is bank holiday weekend - so perhaps not such a good choice? For example, I'm going to the Oulton Gold Cup that day...

working all weekend 9-5 but hoping to keep this one alive. Should be a bit more proud of mine soon, but sounds like all of a sudden I have another dodgy tensioner somewhere this morning... :-( Still looking forward to seeing some of the other locals.

Are there any meets still taking place around Sheffield? I wouldn't mind meeting up with some local, like minded people. Probably quiz you about a few niggles on the car too! laugh

Would be intrested in a meet round here but no one seems to be able to agree on a time or place.

I'll keep checking you never know.

Apologies guys, having started this thread, it should be me I guess. Bust next Saturday and hopefully shall be down to Joe's possibly the following weekend, maybe, perhaps. It's a time of year when everyone's busy, would we be in agreement to get something organised for early in the New Year?

Sunday at Donnington seemd like real success having got to the pub, if anyone can make (fresh) suggestions as to a good venue in the general area, with a large car park and some good food for those who fancy it, it would be most welcome.

Sundays are a bit of a stumbling block for me Im afraid as I work 10 while 4. I would definately go out of my way for an evening or Saturday meet though, even if its just a pub meet after work on a week day, would be good to compare notes.

Plenty of pubs not far from me just on the outskirts of the Peak District with good sized car parks which might be suitable if its just for a couple of hours?

Its a shame that the car museum at Batley(?) has closed as that might have been a good venue.

I shall of course be at Le Mans next year if any of you guys are going?

im really up for this so if you fancy it there is a pub about a mile away from the bypass that leads from chesterfield to sheffield. the pub is at the chesterfield end its called the trading post and the car park is massive, so is the pub. if your interested leave a post and we can sort it out.

Anything near the bypass is fine with me, it's only a blat away. I'm round a mate's for the boxing on Saturday night, bird's working Saturday 'while' 5, but she won't be fussed, Sunday as far as I know is good.

Does the Trading Post do food or at least snack-based products? And lights in the car-park should we agree on an evening?

OK, let's see how we are then, stick a name below where is best for yourselves (this is for this coming weekend, 12th and 13th of Dec) and we'll see where end up :

Saturday

Feeblebob (day or evening)

Sunday

Feeblebob (day or evening)

FYI, Saturday looks OK in Ches-vegas, cloudy but sunny bits, coldish but very light wind, so sounds OK.

'The weekend looks like staying dry, and bright or sunny but cold'. Big jackets out then.

John Kettley signing off....

Ah, knew there was something... Heads all over the place at the moment. OK, rethink. Definitely not wanting to step on porkypauls toes here, so scrap this Sunday, register interest for this Saturday or next weekend (and then wait for me to realise I've something on then, too...)

This Saturday

Feeblebob (day/eve)

Next Saturday

Feeblebob (day/eve)

Next Sunday

Feeblebob (day/eve)

If there is any interest in this, I'll start a new thread with the more appropriate title 'Christmas/New Year South Yorkshire Meet', as I've tried to above and failed... :-)

Should make it more recogonisable.
