I just got my renewal through from greenlight & am less than happy, £150 increase for me doing about 2k this year.

As you say it's your second car, do you hold ncb for both cars? I have to insure mine over summer for 6 months and my mondeo diesel over winter as i can't afford both insurance policies due to only have ncb for one car! Do they cover both your cars under the same ncb?

no,classic insurance doesnt take ncb in to account. so no loss or gain.

Er, Hagerty ARE classic insurers. Limited mileage AND you need to have another, insured, daily driver car.
Hence no NCB. Coupes are eligible under their scheme as 'future classics' (certain cars 1990-on).
That premium in the OP should include UK breakdown cover too.

Most cars over 10 years old now qualify as classics with many specialist insurers.

This is a classic limited mileage policy, I should have stated that.

I don't think I have breakdown cover, I will check my policy though, but it is available if requested.

My Dad has used this company for many years and is very pleased with their service.

Give them a call if in doubt as they will recomend someone if they are unable to provide cover for any reason.
