patch, I have done exactly the same. My silver 20vt wheels in my sig were on the limit tyre wise so I have temporarily fitted the graphite ones off my silver 20vt which are the same colour as yours.

looks really mean and much much better in real life. Although am still undecided as I do think the silver wheels contrast the dark blue and look good with the fuel cap. Must admit i'm soon to be putting on some 17's in silver. This is the look im going for, but do also think that the wheels in graphite grey suit.

You do know how much Plus alloys cost on the secondhand market, when you can find them?

However think that you should keep them safe to one side as you will probably regret getting rid.

I have to agree with Sam. While the LE alloys look ok on the Inky,I think the silver Plus alloys were a better match for the darker colour IMHO.

But as they say,it your car at the end of the day .

I feel this change would have a serious effect when it comes to selling the car in the future Phil, you might not like them but I'd source another set of standard rims and store the Plus wheels so that it doesn't become a haggling point.

Think I'm going to be nailed to the wall by my testicles for saying this but I actually prefer your silver coop to the plus Patch!

The plus wheels seem to work better on the plus and the darker 20VT wheels on the silver one is spot on.

Thats the thing I guess with tweaking/modifying... each to their own.

I share Joe's sentiment that you might want to hang onto the Plus wheels. They don't come cheap.

IMHO that kind of destroys the plus model.

They both look wrong to me, the plus looks like a fake LE and the Zender kit doesn't go well with the plus alloys. IMHO of course

Plus alloys look much better than LE alloys.

Get the plus alloys colour coded anthracite. Have a look at pics of roly's (ex) plus. They look good on a dark car.

Also plus tyres should be 225/45/16 not 205/50/16 !

The Plus stay's stealth .... it looks really, really good, and it wouldn't be a patch car if it looked as they 'should' do.... You know half the world is going hybrid anyway

I'll go with Joe, store the Plus rims and source a set of 20VT rims for the steely.

I think that...

On the Inky, the lines of the LE skirts and lips are sharp and because of this they go better with the sharp jagged design of the Plus alloys.

On the Steely, the PIU bumper and Zender skirts are more rounded and smooth - because of this they suit the smooth dark alloys.

I think if you darkened the Plus alloys then you would achieve the overall Batman look on the Inky, while still showing that its a Plus model - but thats if you're not bothered about keeping the Plus wheels standard. Are you?

Its your car Phil and I have the up most respect for your sense of style, well and you. But.....You aspired for a plus because of its status, seats and wheels, and well the 6 speed box.
Taking something off it makes it some what less of a car, and not a plus any more

its just looks like a ink black 20vt, thats got dark wheels on, this post was always going to get a lot of attention, and rightly so but its your car and im the last one who should be calling sacrilege with my noddy car.

Good for you. Its your car. Definately a good idea to keep the rims safe though, incase you sell or change your mind.

I would take the side skirts and front lips of as well for the ultimate stealth plus!! Ok maybe not. Keep the plus wheels for shows/selling to keep people happy.

I am now thinking about putting on an old set of 15" Fiat Multipla wheels on the Plus, I think they'll look fab .... what do you guy's think about this??

this entire thread is a chain pull, surely? a guy capable of running a business at md level must have more sense, and sensibilities, than this....

I'm deadly serious Proccy There is an element of chain pulling, for sure. But I tell you what. They are only a set of wheels. The 20VT wheels will stay on, wait till you see them at the next meet, if you think they look shit (must be an honest opinion though) I'll *think* about spraying up the Plus alloys in Graphite.

Tell you what though, you should come and work here! It's a mad house, especially with me at the helm! Saying that, my staff stay and enjoy their time at work .... having fun, gets results Though, don't get me wrong, step out of line - and you'll be history

The coupe is one car that definately does not benefit from the 'stealth' look in any shape or form. It simply doesn't have the menacing looks required to carry it off.

Hmmm, this has made me wonder what my Plus will look like with the LE wheels I'm refurbing at the moment...even if only for a month or two while the original Plus wheels are being refurbed (in silver)

Good good,in all fairness i think im with the same view as the others. Keep them,when or if you sell the plus i think they will be a big bargaining tool if there not there.

The sole reason Phil.. that I bought an LE and not a plus .. was the alloys

I'd rather have crazy red pimp seats and LE alloys, than black variants of the recaro's and the odd looking plus alloys

Yep, all my own work - only takes hours & hours & hours of work with the finest materials and bingo - one set of mint LE wheels! (I've bought new centre caps too).

I prefer the style of the standard 20VT wheel, but felt that if I was putting another set of wheels on my Plus while the original wheels were being refurbed they should be in some way a little bit 'special', so LE wheels it was. Plus wheels will go back on as soon as they're done though (in silver)

Agree with you changing the wheels over - the Plus wheels just are not very pleasing to the eye - in fact they are a little ugly (in my humble opinion).

I think it looks great and has given me inspiration for my 'standard' inky 20vt never been that keen on plus wheels myself, too fussy in the detailing but each to their own

I'm spraying the grill black this evening, after discussion with fellow fc'ers, I think it may well make it even more stealthy, so, I'll' give it a go and see how she looks
