I'm wondering where the best place for a boost gauge would be to have on a 16vt both in terms of looking as OEM as possible and of course being easy to see when driving hard?
Let's not forget the 16vt doesnt have the the clock in the centre of the dash so that's out of the question.
I'm thinking of getting one of these smoked face gauges so it's not too obvious when the car's off and still looks a bit funky when driving etc.
Nothing BLING or CHAV just something neat and not looking out of place.

I fitted mine on the top right of the dash by the pillar in a pod, easy to read but doesn't look oem.
I also didn't want to drill the dash or air vent!
If you do similar use the magic grommet!!

Magic grommet Tommy? To be honest I've never fitted a gauge to any of my Coupes as previous ones I've bought have not been standard!
Where does it T off under the bonnet on the engine?

Well if you want it clean then start drilling hole next to the original dials, I personally wouldn't like to drill it, so just fit a custom pod to the core, looks nice and you can remove it with no problems in the future.

Theresa, would I have space for an AFR gauge on the other side to keep symmetry? Looks like an ace spot with a lot of work

DidcCoop Gunzi beat me to it!
There used to be loads of pics on hear of the Magic Grommit but I can't find any.
I think the pipe T came off the MAP sensor if I remember correctly but will check mine later!
You also tee off one of the switches to illuminate the dial!

Will that give a correct reading? Yes, you can use any vacuum feed and it will give the same reading
Your car is Usain Bolt with wellies

Mine's also on the black plastic to the left of the steering wheel. Looks very professional and discreet.

Right all sorted, used the clock as suggested!
The only problem is where we've run the boost/vac hose it seems to get crimped which is no bloody good so we need to route it elsewhere. I couldn't find the magic grommet or how it worked but I'd like to.
Help appreciated!
