Viva Italia may 15 2016 in the Netherlands

Viva Italia 2016 is comming up.
it wil take place may 15 on the TT MotoGP racing track in Assen.
Its a one day event with the most beautifull Italian cars.
The Dutch Coupé club will be pressent also whit some of oure German Coupé friends, i hope there is Interest form the fccuk to come over and join us at the paddock , you can also ride on the track.
further information about the prices of the tickets i wil post before christmas when i get the info from the organization. They wil change there site so you can read in English.

Yes, tempting...but there's no Dover/Ramsgate to Oostende route any more, only Hull-Rotterdam or Harwich-Hook of Holland, so it'll have to be good old Dover-Calais again

Dover-Dunkirk is slightly closer than Calais Dave, it saves about 30 minutes to the Belgian border.

Looking at Harwich-Hook ferry prices they're working out at around £200.00 return.

Interested in this trip as I was keen to go to Spa this year but sadly it got cancelled.
How much time will be available on the track?

Looking at the link to the 2015 event it looks like 3 x 20 minute sessions for general Italian cars.

My Dutch is pretty non-existent but I think it cost €40 in advance or €45 on the day per session. Helmets mandatory as you would expect. click here.

I had contact with the camping De Weyert, and talkt with the care taker, the owner is 9/10 decmber back from his holliday , the bookingspace for 13 14 and 15 may are no problem he sad , but you can contact the owner Frits Sturris about the booking.

The hotel can offer only 4 day Packages, because of the hollidays , but when you send them an E-mail , they will look into it.

They have made it English , but i have noticed that not the complete site is done.

I have translated the impotertand parts for the Recaro Track time for you

A fun way to get to know your car or the circuit is the program part Recaro Track Time (Free ride). For only € 40.0-(in the for sale, € 45.0-on site) you can get a 20-minute drive on the track. A helmet is compulsory (for driver and passenger) and 1 passenger is allowed. The rules can be downloaded here. The protection can be downloaded here. There are 3 sessions (see timetable) on 7 June. Would you like to ride in the 1st session, from 11.10 hour, then it is important that you are registered for 10:30 am. You can sign up Sunday at the Riders info from 9.00 am. The other 2 sessions to 17.25 and 17.50 hours. For these sessions, you can register your Sunday until 15:00. At registration on site will get further info on compulsory briefing.

Also the forms you have to fill in before you may race i have translated to , so if you are interested ill will send it you per pm

These are the prices from 2015 , as soon as i have the new prices ill let you know.

I reserve enough place,s on the paddock for the Coupé,s so the clubentrance tickets will be no problem ,you can buy on the track but they will be a little bit more expensive than the
online tickets.

All, is there a list of attendees and any firm plans yet?

Had a better look at this today, and thanks Rene for bringing it to our attention

A bit confusing initially as the date is flagged up for 15th May (Sunday), but the actual track time is on 7th June (Tuesday).....and it's sold out.

Even if it were still available there's no way I could contemplate a midweek session.

As I understand it there's no track time possible on 15th May which is a pity as I was looking forward to something like this.

Does this mean going back to the drawing board and organising an alternative, Zandvoort for example?......

That's a real shame as I also cannot make it until the Tuesday - drawing board?

Rene do you know why they run the track sessions during the week and not on the day of the event?

Doesn't effect me as I wasn't looking for track time, but I have mentioned to a few people about driving on circuit so need to update them this won't be happening.

They have post the old track time of june 7 2015, i have contact them already and i am waiting for there answere , Viva Italia will take place on may 15 2016 , track driving will be taken place that day , so no problem.

also asked them if i can reservate tickes for oure group, so just wait a little and no pannic , i will keep you posted

TrackTime info update.

If you buy youre tickets online they wil kost you 40 euro,and gives you 20 minutes of track time.At the race track the will kost 45 euro. Wearing a helmet is mandatory for the driver and one passenger.

In the week before the event further information will be given for registration at the track.

There will be 3 sessions, the exact time will be put online as soon as possible.

I have translated the regulations already for you guys. If you want I can send them to you in a personal message ore put them here in this topic online.

You also have to sign an SAFEGUARD CLAUSE, this you can do at the track.

GUIDELINES WHILE DRIVING
• All participants must be 10 minutes prior to their
session to draw in the street on the paddock is
indicated. Let therefore well on your time schedule, which prevents
unnecessary delay!
• Participants must at all times comply with the
safetycar crew's instructions, court officials, as well as
staff of the organisation of 402 Automotive. It's not
compliance with instructions referred to can lead to
exclusion/removal of the event.
• The interim stop may only in the Pitlane! You can then
continue your way back safely from the pit lane.
• If for any reason the Court interim leaves
to go to the paddock to go, this should only be done through the Pitlane.
• If there is a dangerous situation occurs on the job, can
the session be stopped and show all occupied a job postings
moved red flag. Remove in and row with a moderate
pace to the pitlane or another location where you want the course
can exit. Pitlane (passage in the left hand lane
free) On the occupied job postings are if
necessary will be shown after the following flags: moved yellow
flag: sign of danger on or right next to the course. Speed

• Wearing a seat belt is mandatory! M.u.v. cars that according to the law (built before 1971) No belt obligation
have.
• Wearing a helmet is mandatory.
OTHER DIRECTIVES
• Following a briefing is required, without briefing is excluded. After the briefing, participants receive a
wristband. Without wrist strap is excluded.
• Participants to sign a disclaimer clause in advance.
• In the event of non-compliance with the rules of procedure is excluded and there is no right to a refund.
• In the event of no show there is no right to a refund

Yes at first you have to buy the Track time tickets they can be sould out if you wait to long , there are three runs you can join ,the other tickets can come later , and wil be no problem because we as a club have reservated enough paddock space

We as a club have a discount for the entrance tickets , they called clubintree tickets, this wil only work in combination whit a code that i become from the oganisation , this code i wil send you per pm and is also youre paddockticket that you need to print out , and put behind youre windscreen when you arive on the track.

Super Joe , i had contact with the organization of Viva Italia, three weeks before the event the will send me the clubcode, witch you need to print out and place it behind youre windscreen, the code you need also to order youre clubintree tickets online and the lay out form the paddock,

I'm a bit late to the party, but have been planning to come for a while now, just needed to make sure the Coupe was back up and running. I'm just looking at booking track time and ferries for now, but it doesn't look like there's many coming from the UK? And the journey back on Sunday evening via a night ferry before work/school on Monday morning will be tough!

Reben, in an earlier post you said there are 3 track sessions we can join, is it #2 #3 and #4 or are there now 4 sessions we can join? Is it first come first served in terms of which session we can join?

Club entry at 15 euro is shown on the booking form (but only allows 2 people?) as well as the 40 euro for track session (price for each session I assume?) Can we book club entry now or will it be cheaper with the discount code 3 weeks before the event? Also I was hoping there might be a family ticket or some other discount for 3 people in total, but nothing is shown? Maybe I need to "share" one of my passengers with someone else?

Any thoughts about accommodation for Saturday night? (Apologies if it's already sorted, I haven't looked yet)

Hello DaveG , youre most welcome , i had info that there were three track sessions but they added more tracktime sessions , the sessions i posted you can join ,the clubcode you need to get the tickets cheaper they will send me the code three weeks before the event, i have reserve 35 spots on the paddock , so there wil be no problem getting these tickets , the prices of 15 and 40 euro are only when you book online.
You are right about the two tickets per car ,and there is no family ticket , i can ask if one of oure guys can take a passenger with them.

The T-shirts for Viva Italia are ready for production, costing 9.50 Euro , shipment with track and trace will addit 13 euro extra.
We can also hand it over on Viva Italia the may 15.

We the Dutch Coupé Fiat group meet before viva Italia at the Hof van Parijs at 9 AM and drive together up as a group about 9.30 AM to the cirquit, it would be great if you want to join us , please let me know.

Hopefully the thing I am doing on Sunday (Meeting an old friend at the Thorney classic show) goes through or I will be proper miffed.

Try this slideshow not many pics of Coupes or Coupe people I'm afraid, and no track action shots either but quite a few other interesting cars! Hoping to upload a video of the first wash-out track session, but battery was dead by the time of the second session but maybe I'll get some phone footage uploaded

Hands down one of the best events I have been to in a long time. The show was really well organised. The track time was cheep and sensibly spaced and formatted. The weather...we brought the English weather with us!

or I might of popped a boost pipe, which is becoming a normal occurrence for me, and slightly annoying

Viva Italia was awesome, Rene, Mirjam, Rico and all the other Dutch owners made us feel very welcome to our first Viva. The circuit which is predominantly a motorcycle track is still great fun to drive cars on and technically challenging to hook it all up correctly.
The first session saw biblical rain, and me popping a boost pipe one lap from the end so we took advantage of our parking spot and grabbed some pictures which will follow

Morning meet and convey to the circuit.



Super car Sunday shared the same day so lots of very expensive vehicles on show behind barriers and quite a few of the Gumball crowd. The circuit line up in the afternoon was very impressive but I was more touched by the the Grand stands erupting in cheer and applause when they announced MaxV had one the F1, a memorable moment for sure.

Afternoon session graced us with dry sunny weather, and with my pipe issue from the morning repaired we were hot on circuit to lean the lines and get some laps under the belt. All went well and our Coupés certainly showed we're not shy to have a go and fly the Club flag

In all a fantastic venue to attend if you've never been before, it's really well organised by Rene and I know I'll be pencilling it in my diary for next year



....... and after all this excitement and adrenalin what better place to unwind and rest then visit Amsterdam on the way back

I had fun with the 2.4 Stilo that went off on the first corner. He was alot more aggressive than I was but I had him on the long runs.
Its only a 1.4 Simon, 170bhp

She didnt want to drive although the offer was there. In honestly its the first time on a track day I have really enjoyed it enough to think about doing it again but better setup.

Well parts of it went like goose sh1t off a tin horn

Also liked the vid editing, take it you had a ?GoPro? facing each way...

Thought about an exhaust mike?

2x Drift HD's. A mike is very much needed but I haven't got around to ordering one as of yet

We were joined on the way back by one of these.



It's a Fisker, which looks quite smart but I don't like the lack of design for the rear door handles.

Yes Joe, the handles just don't fit with the lines of the car.

I like the positions of the cameras Sam, but the 15 mins of wind noise was a bit unbearable.

So as it was pissing rain and I was bored this afternoon I edited your Vid and added some generic music. Hope you don't mind mate.
