In spite of rain sadly curtailing the day and wrapping things up by around 3 o'clock, hats-off again to the organisation and generosity of "the Dutchies" who give us all their customary warm welcome and time to switch languages to chat with us
Zandvoort was a first time for me and in spite of its proximity to the beach it's got a healthy dose of inclines and dips, as well as some nippy corners - one particular right-hander has a reverse camber threatening to throw off the unwary. Assen, the previous few years' venue, is flatter but less acute, even the chicane at the start of the stands being a nifty twitch rather than extra braking.
Both are well shorter than Spa which has long runway-wide patches contrasting with the likes of the incomparable Eau Rouge
