Might be a bit far away for most of you, but there is the All Ireland italian Car meet on the 9th June. Its at the Transport Musuem at Cultra just outside Belfast
It was a great success last year with a load of cars( both old and new) I think at one stage we must have had about 10 Coupes
Everyone is welcome

Im up for it too. Would be great to meet up! Hopefully will have crash damage repaired for it as i got a nice big cheque from insurance company the other day.
Ps - anyone planning to head down to rally of the lakes in killarney on may bank holiday? coupe + molls gap road = loads o fun
Also, off topic but while all the irsih heads are in here, are there any broken coupes around ireland? or would this be top secret information.

Molls Gap + coupe = damaged front spoiler

Re: Ireland Meet? - 06/03/2007 04:20
what are you looking for mate

Re: Ireland Meet? - 06/03/2007 06:01
Molls gap + alfa 145 lowered 40mm = some hairy moments and bye bye oil sump.
Molls gap + 3.0ltr 166 with silly soft suspension = painfully slow granny driving.
Maybe should stay away from molls gap untill i have fully comp!
But seriously, i know killarney is not exactly central but stunning car deserves stunning surroundings. Sure ye can always make a pit/piss stop at the vandamme household in fab city.
@glennb - looking for drivers door and drivers front wing preferably in straight black. and also a grab handle cause some muppet decided to play tarzan in the back seat and no it wasnt me.

Re: Ireland Meet? - 20/03/2007 20:36
Venue seems to be the issue here.
I'd do anything within 40 miles of Dublin.
10 years ago I'd have travelled the length a breath of the country for something like this.
Now my wife and kids would think I was joking if I said I was going to spend a weekend travelling to Killarney to salivate over some coups wih a bunch of lads I'd never met before.
The Carage lake stage brings back some great memories. It would be a legendary trip if you decided to do it.

Not up for any speed runs :-(, got 'bodged' rear suspension until the beasties goes back south for another fix. This car is more expensive than a crack habit..

Sure what would you want with Killarney so - head over by Louisburgh you have the lake, scenery and super road for the coupe

Re: Ireland Meet? - 29/03/2007 12:14
How about a meet on the 22nd April .There is a classic car show on in Durrow (N8 approx 15miles west of Portlaoise) and the are atying to attract Italian cars. We may not be classic in that sense .but we are modern classic. Good central location and accessible?

And seriously bumpy road with anti-speed bumps
imagine a speed bump inverted into the road, at a 45 degree angle
While maybe not quite that bad
but you get the idea!

I'll probably be there on the 22nd april and i'll probably head down to rally of the lakes on sat 5th may. I wont be in the coop though as itll be in for crash repairs. So if you see a silver m3 convertible giving you a flash and a wave that would be myself.

Re: Ireland Meet? - 29/03/2007 18:31

Hi everyone.
The Northern Ireland Italian Motor Club (NIIMC) are hosting a show on the 9th of June for all things Italian powered.
It is to be held at Transport Museum at Cultra (just outside Belfast)
We should also get a reduced price for entry to the actual Museum.
"ALL" types and "ALL" years of Italian vehicle are very welcome to attend. All we ask is that if you intend to go please drop a post on this thread or on the forum at
http://www.niimc.net as it will greatly help give us an idea of figures.
This is our BIG event so please put it in your diary and book the day off work if you have to, so you can support us.
Last years event brought over 80 cars from across Ireland. Also any non italian car etc of particular interest will be allowed to be shown if prebooked via the forum show thread.
You will be made very welcome.

Re: Ireland Meet? - 24/05/2007 13:32
Hi all. Just had it confirmed that there will be an original Lancia Sratos Group 4 with full Alitalia livery coming to the event along with an original Fiat 131 Abarth. They are coming all the way from Tipperary. It's worth coming to the show just to see these let alone all the rest of the excellent vehicles that are going to be there.

Re: Ireland Meet? - 12/06/2007 04:22
Like I've said Ian, i cant really take the credit beyond cleaning it. Bought it like that, spent a year looking but bought it in that condition. Was originally an english reg motor. I'll look out the old reg number, see if anyone on here nows who's really responsible for its condition... on second thoughts maybe i shouldn't just incase i find out something i dont want to know lol

Re: Ireland Meet? - 12/06/2007 04:32
great pics darmtb, specially that one of me...the cars in the background look pretty nice too lol...The secret to good parking spots at these things is drinking quite heavily the night before...theres just no way you can get ther early enough to be put at the back lol. maybe do an ireland meet if it near to good nightlife reasonable B&B's with off road parkin...If I'm free it'd be good excuse for a weekend away.
