6 speed

Hi guys... New to the forum, so a big hello. Id like some advise if i may. I now own 2 20vts. Ones a 99t with 67k and ones a 01y plate with believe it or not 67k.. The later i,ve just bought. after reading a bit on the forum, it seems the y plate should have 6 speed, but it has not. i checked my chassis numbers and it seems my t plater is the newer car!! The T plate is chassis 64523 and the yplate is 63798. does anyone know what chassis number the 6 gears arrived on? Thanks, Mike.

Volume production of MY99 (how Fiat refer to the facelift models) cars started at chassis 64926, but it's not an exact science, as they were still allocating numbers to LEs after that and there are a few odd numbers prior to that allocated to MY99 cars.

It could be an early car that sat unregistered , then got registered on a y plate so won't javelin the six speed box or it may have had a gearbox change .
