Hello from a new Coupe owner

Hi everyone, just wanted to stop by the chat forum and introduce myself. I'm Ollie and yesterday I became a Coupe owner.

Picked up from a great guy in Nottinghamshire (don't think he's a forum member), she's done 87.5k miles, had a refurbed engine and turbo in 2011, new clutch last month, and drives superbly. Tan leather inside, alloys refurbed in anthracite grey (looks the bee's), SuperSprint cat-back exhaust. Big thanks to Fatash who made the trip with me to check her out.

Is she a known car around here? (hoping there's no hidden history...)

patch, its pretty darn good to be honest, no lacquer peel anywhere, few chips and light scratches but certainly doesn't look 15 years old!

Hi n welcome, I too was suppose to be picking up an coupe this Sunday BUT the body work was very bad. So I am still on the lookout before my friend convinces me to go for and Audi S3... Don't really want to do that.

You've made a nice job of the petrol cap refurb. Well done and welcome to Coupe ownership and the forum, where you'll get loads of advice and encouragement. You'll need the latter for when you have bad Coupe days, but the good easily makes up for it. By the way, you could say I'm a photography nerd to. I look forward to seeing some of your pics.

Did he? Missed that... I don't know how registrations work, presumably done in batches when new car shipments arrive so can't be too unusual to have the same model registered sequentially.

Oh that's my old car! I had those FIAT number plates bought as a birthday present!

I had this back in 2009 on around 68k miles.
I think I may still have a service book for this car somewhere, although if I remember there were only a few stamps.
I regrettably traded this in for a new car a few weeks after fitting a new clutch! (I soon sold the new car and returned to a Coupe)
I never saw the car again and thought it had been scrapped! It's nice to see it's still around and looking better than ever, and still with my birthday plates on it
The Supersprint exhaust on the car sounded lovely too

Wow thanks for the history DanDan, really great to know its been a FCCUK Coupe at some point in its life, have PM'd you about the service booklet.
