FCSS - 30/10/2013 14:25

I would like to say a big thank you to Joe and Dan for working last Saturday and replacing my gearbox.

My third gear let go on a recent track day, however with some gentle driving, and crossing of fingers, I was able to make the 90 mile journey to Bromyard.

The job was not as straight forward as it might have been due to various modifications, and I have to say the amount of work involved was an eye opener for me. That said, the process was a very slick one, and I was homeward bound in no time at all.....making slightly better progress on the return journey laugh

Joe gave my car a good once over for me, and fixed a few niggles along the way for which I am very grateful!

I was surfing down West Wales Dan!

After having gone round the houses on this, I have decided that the coupe is going up for sale. Having just had the gearbox replaced, I just couldn't risk trashing it, or the car on track.

I am currently jotting down all of the work / modifications that I have had carried out, ahead of posting the advert in coupes for sale tomorrow.

Shame about the sale, but c'est la vie.

An added word of thanks to Joe and Dan for getting my Porto through its MoT today, as well as giving her a health check. smile
FCSS have a huge collection of Coupe's over in Bromyard and clearly know the car inside out.

Mine has a few issues, but hopefully all is not lost!
Joe patiently talked me through what needs attending to and in which order.
My original "To do list" had 15 items on it and now I can work my way through 16 more!!!
(To be fair, there is some duplication!!!! ) laugh
Dan, I believe, has sorted out my washer jets, which after my own botched efforts, are great to have working properly, so no excuses for not taking her out in unclement weather...
Thanks also for the loan car, my first experience of a N/A, which I thought had nice handling, well sorted brakes, it made a nice noise, but perhaps previous loanees have given the clutch too hard a time!!!!

Cheers
PS Steam still seemed to becoming off those yellow wheels and tyres you used Monday at Castle Coombe confused

Yes but did they tell you what its nickname is? laugh

I really liked driving it, smooth and responsive and soooo much more comfortable than mine (until the suspension refresh).

Indeed a plethora of coops, each with a history willingly recounted by either J or D over a cuppa!

MOT worries over for the next 12 month then smile

One of the reasons we closed down the traders area was because of arguments breaking out between fans of the various specialists in the feedback threads.

For that reason I have locked this thread before it can go that way.

To sum up, if you wish to comment (good or bad) on any service you personally have received from a specialist, then by all means post up that experience.

What we don't want is a repeat of the previous problems.

So if you weren't involved in a particular transaction please don't post in that thread. If you have feedback about your own experience, please start a new thread.
