Whats the best sounding coupe?

All sound nice, but I think I prefer 20vna on standard pipe and filter.
Im not into noise, im old.

20vt with 3" exhaust .

Do you not think it makes them to loud?
Mines totally standard and it turns heads with the sound it makes, any louder would spoil it.

Best sound - there isn't a best sound. It's subjective.

It's taken me yeare to get my car sounding how I like, but others may think it's crap.
Some like giant exhausts that just make the noise of an exhaust, some like the sound of the induction others warble and even some try and pressurise the exhaust so you get a jet fighter style roar (turbo).

Bordin motorsports mad drag 20vt. That thing sounds like a dodge vipers screaming v10!

Im not sure i can even get a stainless pipe for mine, spare parts seem hard to come bye..

The vis sounds the best to me, but put a sports cat and free flowing mandrel bent exhaust from blueflame, longlife or one of the others and they all sound great.
The only time I ever really properly heard mine 20vt was when I sold it and the buyer drove off with it. I'd never realised it sounded so good - I could have cried!

I had exactly the same reaction when I heard mine leave... that Ragazzon cat-back system was immense.

Yeah, they sound much better outside than in!

I know exactly what you guys mean I never heard mine properly until me and a friend swapped cars at brands for a test and I spent most of the time just staying behind him to listen to what mine sounds like to others

definitely the 16vt and 20vt systems, na and vis don't do it for me !,

16V N/A sounds really good in the cabin when cruising somewhere around 3K rpm. [Standard off the shelf zorst also looks rather impressive from the back.]

I've a full Milltek with sports cat on mine. I'm told it can be heard some distance away on full chat. Wish my VX sounded as good.

Out of the box with no mods I think the VIS sounds the best because you hear the engine a lot more but with a nice exhaust and filter then the 20vt sounds the best

Everyone moans about the revving with engines cold. It's not actually like a daily occurrence! Does anyone actually know anyone that has damaged their engines doing this? Really!!

The best sounding coupe is your own coupe when it is smoothly cruising at 170 kph without making any strange noises from the engine, gearbox or suspension. If only the creaking dashboard was more like a new car.

I only ever heard it once at a mitcar meet, but it did match some of the fezzas for noise.

Mine is 20vt with K&N and supersprint cat back. Lovely mellow sound but a bit beefier than standard. Personally I don't like the jet fighter sound. I work with jet engines...I want my car to sound like a car!
