Yes I am aware of one person who sold his copy.
I do not know what he got for it and cannot say who it was other than he is no longer able to use this forum.

I've had it appraised and agreed on my company insurance that if it's stolen or destroyed in a fire it's valued at £5k, it's a piece of art and rare.

So who bought the one from the one that can't be named, and does owning 2x painting value them more, or less as a pair if owned by the same person?

Are they
really worth
that much!
Or are you jingling the bells on my other leg!
That must make those infamous tea towels worth a few quid as well then!
Shame, I use mine as a dip-stick cloth.

Seriously though, surely they're worth only a few hundred pound at best.
If they were worth thousands, I'd have mine sold and I'd be upgrading my car.

Not yours Ross as you sold your Coupé
They go together and I've only got the 1x so how does £5 and a half chewed curlywurly sound

Do I regret selling? No.

I have noted that people keep their avatar picture for years even if they've moved away to 'other' vehicles.
You've got the memories

So a painting by a relatively obscure artist of a 20 year old Fiat is worth more than the Fiat itself?

Re: Jan Bosschaert Limited Edition Fiat Coupe Canvas - 21/01/2016 17:53
A painting is worth what it will cost you to replace it. Kinda hard to do... mine is #11/16, or a bit loose on 19mm.

Took me a while to get that one, must be my age.......

I neafly bought it from the user in question. He accepted a price from another forum member that was very close to the original price. That was several years ago.
From memory the artist has quite a following so it's value maybe quite a bit more outside of FCCUK.

Why did Fiat pay a cartoonist to do a piece on the Coupe that's not a cartoon?

Does anyone have a spare they'd like to sell (or even give me out of good will)? I'm willing to pay one Gazillion Nigerian Gimlets.

Re: Jan Bosschaert Limited Edition Fiat Coupe Canvas - 22/01/2016 19:29
Wow! One Gazillion Nigerian Gimlets!
How much do I have to pay you to release such a generous offer for my limited edition piece of artwork?
Posted By: Gripped
Re: Jan Bosschaert Limited Edition Fiat Coupe Canvas - 22/01/2016 20:36
Well. The way it works is.
You transfer £30,000 sterling into my bank account, then I release enough Gimlets to buy your poster. I'll then give you one and a half bazillion Gimlets in change.
Please note, that due to inflation, the bazillion Gimlet note now replaces the 10 Gimlet coin.
Sound good? What could possibly go wrong?

Why did Fiat pay a cartoonist to do a piece on the Coupe that's not a cartoon?
Are you asking or saying that the artwork is not cartoonist?

In my opinion the art is cartoonist. The artist is a cartoonist. He was contracted because of his reputation.
I like the style that Fiat chose.
I live very near to a city that is the center of cartoon murals in Europe.
