Selling Coupe 20VT Advice - 16/02/2017 19:57

Hi All,
I'm thinking of selling our 'family' Fiat 20VT on behalf of my father. It's a 1998 Silver 20V turbo with all extras... Aircon, leather, sun roof and silver metallic. My dad barely used it for most of its life. Dad had a stroke 5 years ago and now suffers with advanced dementia. The car has sat for a while, but I recommissioned it last year with all new brakes, tyres (budget) and full service. Can you believe it only had 25,000 miles at the time. It now has 37,000 and runs really well. However, I think its time to let it go as it deserves better. The simple question I have, is how much is it worth?? Prices seem to vary enormously. Our car is a one owner, un-modified car with genuine 37,000 miles with no track days or boy racing. It had a minor knock in front bonnet which was repaired, but otherwise is exactly as it was when first bought.
Can anyone offer any advice on how much this may be worth and where best to advertise it?
Any advice warmly received.

On here would be a good place to sell as you'll need an enthusiast to get a fair price. As for the price, well prices are all over the place. I'd set a price that you're comfortable with selling, and add a little negotiating on top.

There is a lot of work to be doing on low mileage examples. They can be more troublesome than high mileage examples. If the car needs belts and proper look over then it is likely that selling here will not be the best place for high money as most all members appreciate the costs and the need for replacing parts - sitting can cause issues.

It is better to go for a price (as szkom) says that you feel happy with. Don't be greedy and look to price it to move it on is always the best decision.

Look at whats out there, compare to yours - prices are different for the special edition versions ((LE and Plus)) - and price it this way.

Everyone has a bottom dollar price they would except. Just price it a little above that...

Start here, it does sound like a car that should be sold to an enthusiast, who will ensure it survives - not a eBay numpty who stumbles across it and thinks "yeah, I always wanted one of those, they are well fast"

Good luck

Many Thanks Both.
Appreciate the advice. Need to think about what to do...
Half the time I love the car, the other half, I long for a new one!
Cheers
