FCCUK vs Social media

FCCUK vs Social media - 01/03/2017 20:16

It pains me to come on here & see such a fall in activity... I have fantastic memories here, but social media dictates the people using this forum is becoming less & less. 😰😰

I know lots of 'ahem' older users don't use Facebook etc, but it will reign superior soon enough, sad but true.

Could management possibly agree to discuss with anti social media peeps, that possibly getting a Facebook account could be beneficial on the basis of collectively FCCUK pulling together the very best social media group that would take onboard all of the info from her and live on for years to come...???

I can see me logging in here in 5 years & it being near inactive, frown

Just a thought, #movingwiththetimes

I thought this has all been discussed before.
There is nothing out there that is better than this forum.

One must be carefull what they wish for,as the old saying goes.

I use Facebook generally more than coming on here, but it's here where I know and trust.

I am happy to use both but think the forum is the better of the two smile

I recently deactivated my Facebook account because it was doing my head in. This forum is a bit like Vinyl records. Retro classic and easy on the ears.

A better place for quiet discussion and contemplation.

laugh

yes ..great description!

In deference to the OP though it can be mighty quiet at times compared to a few years ago but, falling owner numbers apart, one can be assured that just about everybody on here is a lover of this classic car.

Just had a quick look on Facebook and there are so many Fiat coupe groups, which is the "proper" Fiat coupe group?

I think this is the only forum site for fiat coupe owner's which is run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts.

Good job, keep it up. love

I've just bought a coupe and I was told to come here!

Re: FCCUK vs Social media - 03/03/2017 08:25

Before i bought my first coupe I became a member and delved deep into the info and advice on here- but can see the advantage of also having a social media presence to make sharing simple posts and pictures much easier than uploading to the forum.

I think there is probably a demand for both linked to each other, forum for the fine detail and FB for social posts and pics. It may help improve and raise the profile of the car and those committed to keeping it on the road.

And all this from a fifty something 'dinosaur' who according to my kids doesnt get technology... hehe

Facebook is ok for photos and general chit chat. But if you want advice or looking for information to solve an issue it's here you come and nowhere else
