Coupes downunder

Coupes downunder - 03/11/2017 10:50

It's not often you see a Fiat Coupe in Australia, let alone TWO parked together!

I popped over to see Graeme (aka Possum) this evening. It was my coupe's first outing on Aussie roads following a lengthy importation process from the UK (I will start another thread on that!).

A few photos below of our impromptu Aussie fiat coupe meeting...

Excellent. Top marks for sticking with your coupe.
Enjoy that fantastic country.

It was great to catch up with Boosted7 after a few years, especially when he dropped around with his Coupe.

This is only the second time in 12 years of ownership that I have had my Coupe photographed with another. We think you are looking at about 7% of the Coupes in Australia in these photos.

We will now work on getting another Coupe to join us to make it 10%.

What angle did you set the ramp at Joe?

Well done!

Importing can be a drag!

Hi Possum...

FYI, my Coupe has now gone to its new home in Perth, Western Australia. It arrived safely there 3 days ago. So you now have less chance of getting 3 or more Coupes together in one place for a photoshoot!

So there are now 2 Coupes in WA, a silver one and my (old) Speed Red one.

There was one for sale in 2015 in Perth. I don't think it was a silver one.

That would have been the yellow 20VT Plus that went to a bloke in Queensland. (Gary687 on the Forum)

Hi Cousin Wazza, the silver one in Perth is owned by "Perthling" on the Forum.

When Boosted7 got his registered here, he came around after work and we took photos. Still would like to see 3 together smile

Sorry to hear that yours has now gone to the west, but then one can only have so many Fiats in one's garage.

Steve, I expect the photo of the 3 Coupes was taken in Melbourne.

Re: Coupes downunder - 12/12/2017 06:47

For the 25th anniversary of the coupe, we should try and assemble as many Aussie coupes as possible. Shouldn't be too hard to set a new record, as it looks like it currently stands at 3!

I was wondering if that photo might have been taken at Auto Italia in Canberra?

When was the official Fiat Coupe launch, Fiat Nationals 2018 is in March!

Re: Coupes downunder - 12/12/2017 20:33

Unfortunately, I will not be heading south to Shepparton in March as I have yacht racing commitments in Brisbane.

I have promised our Car Club magazine editor that I will write an article to celebrate the 25th anniversary in 2018. Maybe I should also share it with the other Clubs in Australia as we now have Coupes in all States.

Re: Coupes downunder - 19/12/2017 10:53

Possum,

You are wrong, as "Perthling" sold the silver Coupe some time ago and has now bought mine.

As for most Coupes in one picture in Australia, I have a picture of 4 in one place in Sydney in 2009.

Cheers mate,

Good to know that Giles now has your Coupe, it has gone to a good home.

4 in one photo, that would by your's and Ian's plus who else? Perhaps Pauline's and Steve's?
