LE/Plus Rocker Covers - 05/02/2018 21:54

What are people willing to pay for a refurbished item these days?

I’ve got a few now that I’m hoping to do in the next few weeks.

Was quiet shocked to see one on eBay currently at £120 with an incorrect smooth paint finish (not OEM) ooo

Here is an example of my work:

Thanks! How did you do that?

I tried with an IMG code bit that didn’t work either.

I've seen them go for prices like that, or more, and then immediately come back on eBay with an identical auction, presumably after the buyer changed their mind.

I guess anywhere between £50-£100 as a sensible price, I wouldn't mind one myself, but wouldn't pay more than £100. Presumably you have a small stock taken from cars that have been broken, but you might want to offer an exchange service as well, giving a credit for returned covers, say £20-£30 for example (depending on whether they are broken in the normal place, top right corner)

As for originality, I don't know if the original paint goes darker over time, but a lot of LE/Plus cars still with original covers are a much darker red? Also, some people may prefer a "wipe clean" smooth paint finish wink

I'm with daveG above, I would like mine sorting on my car but daren't use the oven....so would need to "buy" one in ad would certainly be keener on a p/ex system, one off, one on. I would too pay £50-£100 for a decent one, intact corners and decent wrinkle finish.

Hi

My cover was never red, just naked alloy, and still is, but is not really possible to clean it to 'as new' condition and always oxidises a bit anyway. So for those wanting a perfect cover but not red, can you do a natural alloy colour?

Having asked us what we would be prepared to pay, have you decided on a price to purchase / refurb?

Thanks

Andrew
