My Coupe is on eBay

I have listed my Coupe on eBay.

I've decided that with the cambelt due and it needing a respray, which I will never afford, I am going to have to part with it.

Also my income has just dropped quite considerably because of the evil Tory government.

I am very sad about it but I am getting more into guitars than cars now! This is what I am like - once I was mad on gardening but after a year or so I got bored with it. Then I wrote poetry and had a book of it published. I don't do that now either. I went crazy for swimming for about a year too, went almost every day, now I have not been for 2 years.

Maybe one day I will buy another Coupe.

Another thing, with Solo Italia gone my nearest specialist is in Birmingham now, 100 miles away. And local garages always make a mess of things, like three goes to fit a new fuel pump correctly.

I saw the eBay listing and was going ask if that was yours. Sad to see you leaving the fold as you've been a strong contributor to the forum. Don't rush your decision though as you will never get something as special as a coupe for the money. Sad news about solo as well. I liked Rick and gaz.

I'm wondering if I should sell my Abarth and make this my daily driver!

Tim I would be so happy if you bought her, knowing a good home awaited her would ease the pain! She needs a rocker cover gasket but apart from that is in great shape. The cambelt is due though.

Sorry to see another coupe owner selling up - have you advertised your car on the forum AnnieMac?

I'm sure the bug will make you buy a new one when your fortunes change.

There is a red non-turbo listed on eBay which has been there at least since 2013 when I first bought mine!

I can't imagine my fortunes ever changing. I've thought about selling my body but at my age I'd be lucky to get 50p!

I know Solo have gone, but Gaz (Who was the proper spanner monkey there) is still working in Witney. I am sure he would be happy to get his hands on one again!

Oh! Do you know Gaz's contact details? I know he went to an MG garage. That would be so great, if I could get the cambelt done a bit nearer home. A local garage said I may as well have the clutch done at the same time and it would cost £1,600!

I drove the Coupe yesterday for the first time in a month or more - started up straight away and was such a joy. Then I saw some random guy do a double take as he drove by it parked by my house.

I really don't think I will be able to part with it but might leave it up as the eBay ad was £15.

Have you heard of Autosportivo in Bedford for Servicing? They are not that far from you and prices seem quite reasonable. Check their Facebook and website
