Hello, new member here But with half of a Coupe! - 01/08/2018 20:27

Hi everyone! I'm Antonio from Spain, as the subject of the says, I don't own a Coop nowadays, but part of it, hehehe.

I don't have a Coupe but I have a strong attachment with Fiat cars, I own a Fiat Bravo Mk1 JTD wich I use it as my daily driver, now looks quite good after a good amounts of work here and there..it's been remapped, Bilstein B8 all round with Vogtland springs, replica 16inch Marea 20vt wheels plus front Ate Powerdisc+Ferodo DS2500.

I also own two Alfas, one 146 Ti wich currently is in restoring/"restomod" process and a 145 Cloverleaf wich buyed with a seriously knackered engine.

The 145 is one of the reasons why I've registered here, the other is that one day or another I might get a Coupe, when I was 10 or so I had the pleasure to be on a 20vt Coupe and even being a child, I still remember the sound, the pull on 3rd, the mighty looks with those 17's Azevs.....had the impression of being on such a emotional car...

As I needed to build an engine to my 145, tought that would a good chance to swap to another one wich could suit better my goals..as I was thinking on keeping it N/A firstly I took a look to fitting a Busso, at the end gave up because down here a 2.5 is too pricey for what you get..then the bulb switched on and thought that a 2.4 20v could be an interesting idea, specially if I try to improve it, as I'm looking to set up this car as a fast road/occasional track day toy..

So with a path to track, I started to search some of required parts, now I got complete engine+gearbox from a Coupe 20v VIS, with engine wiring loom and ECU, 4pot calipers from Alfa GTV 916 3.0 to upgrade to 305mm front discs(presumably with Coupe 20vt knuckles) and a set of 17' rims from Alfa Mito wich can go in future in favour of lighter or more suitable ones..

Now I'm looking to get a complete 2.4l block from Kappa, Thesis or Stilo, intake manifold from CF1 2.0 20v, 6spd box from Alfa 166 2.0TS 16v and probably a set of Recaro seats from Delta HPE..

As the Coupe is very similar to the 145, I think I can get some precious info over here about some technical clues I have about both drivetrain and suspension/frame, so maybe I will make some topics in the future asking for help and also try to help with my little experience laugh

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum, Antonio.

Nice selection of cars there, always loved a 145 cloverleaf.
