Agree with the above. I've kept my non turbo fairly standard though mine is mildly remapped which has improved fuel economy and a smoother drive too.
As the standard map may not be spot on for your car (as every car is slightly different) a live remap is an enhancement rather than a modification in my view. A bit like professionally cleaning an antique. A remap could be specified to maintain similar horsepower (though no harm in a bit extra) and it will iron out any blips in the fuelling. But, there's certainly no harm in leaving it alone...
Like the others, I've got a stainless exhaust which sounds far better than the overly muted stock and will last longer. You can get ones which look similar to stock too to preserve the look.
Any safety upgrades like brakes and suspension are also likely to enhance the car, and you can choose to keep original ride hight and damping to keep it like the original. But the Coupe is good as standard anyway.
