This year's modifications

Bearing in mind most people's circumstances are different from the earlier part this year, has anyone turned their hand or inclination to catching up with those bucket-list mods - even more so than usual?

I know someone not too far away who's installed a push-button start in their VIS, for example...

Seats, ICE, lowering suspension, revolving plates - what you got?

You assume that some of us have found ourselves with more time on our hands, but in my case I have ended up working longer hours when working from home since March and the chance to catch up on anything Coupé-related is even more remote than before

I've had less time available than usual so the mods I had planned for this year haven't happened and the parts are still in boxes in the garage.

I've planned a lot and ordered a few bits but, as far as I'm aware, none of it is on the car yet.

LOADS of maintenance work carried out but the actual mods are fairly few in number

I'm heading up to GSM on the 24th to choose new racing seats and harnesses

Like Dave G and others, I've ended up absolutely overloaded and much more going on due to Lockdown earlier in the year, I volunteered for NHS for the first lockdown - so that moped up any spare time.

I finally got the tracking done-after 3 or 4 tries at it in previous years. It was not out by much but just an hour of decent set-up has made such a difference. That and the new tyres. I'd like to do more to get rid of the "crashy" feel of the suspension and make the ride more subtle - but there is no clear route to that.

At its last major service I had Joe put on one of his new FCSS Aux Belt Guards-which was a Nostradarmus move on my part-when my aux belt when BOOM on a spirited side by side drive against my friends new Porsche Cayman S. (The coupe did v well apart from that my friend never knew the coupe was badly wounded! ). New Aux belt now fitted- and car back on the road again and feeling very good.

I find having set dates for events or adventures in the car are the catalyst to improvements - with the 25th anniversary off, and no way to even get across to Europe this year...the car has done less miles then normal. And the weather now closing in, is coming out less and less (garage queen)

Great to hear others being more focused and better disciplined then I am!!

This year I have fitted FC performance fmic, fuel pump wiring mod, replaced some rusted through bolts, fitted new boost gauge and pipework, nomad dual pillar pod (I hate it), refurbed centre console, reinstated the clock, vxr boost controller thingy, fixed the slightly broken intake pipe and had a live map done with Flea.

I've also bought new silicone kit to replace coolant hoses and doughnuts, but they are sat in the garage. Also in the garage I have made some top gear style seating consisting of my old coupe seats sat upon 2 coupe wheels each, an excellent place to relax and procastinate over the refurbing and replacing of various parts I have lying around.

Most of that was done in February and since lockdown started the car has hardly been used.

Have discovered some more crusty bits that will be sorted as soon as Joe can get me in. Along with a service and mot. Over winter and into spring I'll be trying to get a few bits and bobs sorted before deciding if it gets sold or not.
