Fingers crossed

So after 8 years parked up the Coupe is now with Roger at Power Developments to hopefully make it’s long overdue return to fully working order.

Looking forward to hearing that 5 cylinder, it’s been a long time.

Waiting by the phone for the diagnosis from Roger, I am expecting a long list as it's been parked up so long.

We all know what waiting for that phone call is like smile When I took my BMW with an issue down there a couple of years ago he did a walk round video explaining the issue, he may do the same for you.

The news from Roger was not good, basically I had left it to long so the Coupe has gone to meet it’s maker. Floor rotten by jacking points, both sills and that’s before the mechanical work.

Sad. Mine had the same. One side was rotten and just way too far gone to even patch frown

Sorry mate to hear your news frown It's a constant battle on the rot front and left too long it will come back and bite you.

What are your plans now - in the market for another coupe?

Sorry to hear this. Must be gutting.

Unfortunately they are that age now where rot is a real threat.

Hope you manage to find a positive from this.

Sadly I will not be looking for another Coupe, but I do have many happy memories from 2003 of Coupe meets, a few trips to Le Mans and of course Spa Italia. I have a Audi S5 cabriolet for fun now, a much better car but nowhere like the character of the Fiat. But we picked this up last weekend which has bags of Italian spirit, it’s a diesel but has 180bhp, 420nm of torque and a lsd. Not a replacement for the Coupe, but it makes me smile.

Nice car simmo,
May I ask why you skipped the equiv BMW? I'd be hard pushed to choose the Alfa over the bmw
