Hello ...... again !

Not sure if many of the people here will remember me, been dipping my toe in the Coupe world for over 20yrs now! Last dabble was my light red plus back in 2012 which I sold to another forum member.

Thinking of going again , plus , le or 6sp - just need to work out how to hide it from the wife!

Anyway, "Hi" again and great that this forum is still going strong..... it always was a great place.

Hi Kenny, your name is familiar but welcome back! Not that many of you in Weegieland apart from GrahamL and PaulL, also Rosso who's in the 'Well.

Likewise there's a small but select group out east and we try to meet up once a month if possible. When you finally get yours we'll put our heads together for a group outing one of these days

Funny searching for my old posts and most of the users are all unregistered , I was speaking to Ross/H2YPER on messenger and he as a wee sciento he is putting a 1.4t in. I just miss the noise from 20VT , did contemplate another 16VT but just never enjoyed that as much as my 20VTs.

Just need to find the right mix of spec, price and rot!

Been a looooong time since I've seen one of these up for sale - howmanyareleft.com reckons there are only around 24 on the road and 129 SORN'd, and that was in the first quarter of this year

There is a red 16VT up that’s last MOT was 2011 but looks really rough, but it is keenly priced <1k
A black one at 2.5k looks a bit cleaner but has a rear diffuser I’m not keen on , granted easy fixed. Problem is 3 panels have been keyed.
Anyone I get will need money spent but just prefer the 20VT sound .
Not planning on rushing in , I’ve been lucky with the ones I’ve had before but good few years down the line now and there are an fair few suspects ones .

Hi Kenny, the Coop really takes hold eh? Not many about these days as Simon says. As you well know rust is the major problem, finding one that’s relatively free of the tin worm will be a task to say the least. Where they rust apart from the visible areas, places like the towers are expensive to repair. Best of luck……..
