Plans next year, what's are yours? - 23/12/2021 10:32
Hi all,
As this year comes to a close it's time to reflect on my first year of this years coop's ownership and plan for next years shenanigans.
It hasn't been the smoothest year but I'm not naïve in realising that a 21 year old car isn't going to be without it's issues, current and ongoing but I'm fortunate enough to have the help of the forum and PowerItalia and also be able to have this as my weekend car even on my modest salary and this was never bought to be a garage queen (you actually need a garage for that
It was bought as an adventure car, to take my son and me around the county exploring old abandoned WW1/WW2 sites and locations and having great drives to those places but if this was a school exam, the car would probably score 7 out of 10 (could do better) It was off the road for quite a bit of it, but that's all been covered in my other posts.
But I'm very pleased where it's got to now, from January to now it's been getting improved slowly and with the help and thanks of Joe, Nigel, Flea and PowerItalia fault finding, the car is almost where I want it to be.
So January plans are:-
PowerItalia for Cambelt change and Rog mentioned about the exhaust gasket letting out some of the gasses and robbing me of a bit of power so hopefully get that sorted at the same time plus relocating the SIP higher up away from puddles
Hopefully go to some shows next year Covid permitting and lots more adventures with the confidence to go a bit further afield and take each day as it comes with usual maintenance/pampering. Here is a recent picture of us parked up about to explore after a great drive.
What are your next years plans?
