Body colour sills

As my car needs some work to one of the sills I'm going have both painted the same colour as the body. Now the next bit might seem a bit odd but has anyone had just the sills painted and not the black bottom section of the bumpers? If so, could they post a photo or two, so I can see what the looks like.
