Its of Tommy's coupe, gunning it. Or another small vid of a coupe sounding amazing?
it was on hamletts hosting but I cant get it now from the link in the vid section.

I watched that back recently, ahhh the nostalgia!

He still looks in here occasionally - mainly though I think he's on a ClioV6 specific forum (rather than cliosport), to avoid all the massive chavs. Which I suppose answers your second question... and yes he is still loving it, although he's rather depressed with its lack of straightline speed.

At home I've got a small vid (I think it was from either Flea's or Jonny's camera phone) of my coop on track at Castle Combe. It's doing the whole Airwolf thing, really odd-sounding. I could email you that.

That's a Powerfiat (Pipecraft) exhaust with decat pipe. Sounded truly amazing, but I couldn't stand the noise every day and refitted the cat. It's still nice, but I do miss the awesome noise sometimes

Well yes techincally it's illegal, but only a problem if they find out
It'm not sure what the current cost is, but I paid 220 for the exhaust (from the cat back) and 40 for the decat pipe.

You can just put the cat back on before the MOT and swap back afterwards

You can get them at Powerfiat, you'll have to pay them a visit though as the exhausts are custom fit (not lying on the shelf).

No, I had the same when I got my coupe. It's a restrictive, non-standard exhaust that isn't up to the job, the gasses are trying to force their way out any way they can, that's what makes the noise.
Mine was a kwik-fit one and was thinner than a pea shooter! when I took it off, the noise went. which is a shame as it used to frighten small children and the elderly

That was filmed shortly after Tommy got his LE, when it still had the peashooter
Kwiksh@t job fitted - as Pinin suspected. He eventually got the system junked and had a 3 inch downpipe into 2.5 inch from longlife chucked on. The revving at the start of the vid is Tom's car immediately after he had that fitted. He then had a race cat stuck in and lost some of the popping and banging

I've owned the "Jet fighter" for 20 months now. It has a 3" downpipe, Ram air, GT28R, DV26, and a 2.5" longlife exhaust (Amongst other things)
Can't say i have managed to recreate the "jet fighter" sound but it does sound fruity!!
Still nice to see it makes people smile!

Not that good IMO sorry.
I have some awesome DVD's I've made in the past, coupes ripping past on full chat etc.
One is good, the camera is sat under the car, and the the car does a full launch, did this with Rog's Clio V6 also.
