Last month £20 on new (to me anyway) mats, or was that the month before?

Just about to order new discs and pads, insurance due and will be getting some sparkly new belts in March. So not exactly nothing.

Did get new suspension, tyres all round, a freshly painted rump, alloy refurb and some HIDs last year though.

Re: What have you spent on the coop in the last mo - 13/01/2008 09:52

There is some serious money that been spent in just a month, but for me hand on heart this is my first fiat so its very new to me and i have had my far share of hot hatches in the past, but not one gives me the buzz my coop does !!! It comes on boost so smooth and goes like a rocket !!! One of my mates saw it and said "that wont beat my T5 auto, what is it anyway ?" I took him down the road for a quick spin.............................."fcuk me" he said "that goes really well, my T5 wouldnt stand a chance"

So my plans for the coop after the money ive spent so far ??? Spend more......................

Re: What have you spent on the coop in the last mo - 14/01/2008 03:09

This month is looking to be expensive.

New oil cooler and pipes, apparently 250 quid just for the part, plus the regular service (errr delayed from November) oh and I need some more oil and just bought two new tyres..Before that four new wheels (all back to standard)..

Re: What have you spent on the coop in the last mo - 14/01/2008 03:51

Well it was looking quiet good, with my only outgoing being insurance for the year ~ £450.

Then my power steering belt broke on Jan 3rd, and as normally happens it took out the cam belt and caused a small bit of head damage. So the car is currently with Roger awaiting his tender care.

I already need a new exhaust (waiting for the blue flame GB to go live), and the car was going to have a respray this year, really looking quite tatty at the moment.

So all in i think i'll be spending a little more than the car is worth in the next few months. Ah well, at least it's a car I love and over the 9 years or so of ownership i haven't had to spend very much on it.

Re: What have you spent on the coop in the last mo - 14/01/2008 03:54

Service £200

Total £900

Ahh well its what student loans are for.

Apart from petrol nothing at all, although I do have road tax at the end of the month - paid for by TD's other half ;\) so not too bad.

Re: What have you spent on the coop in the last mo - 14/01/2008 15:55

Petrol - about £50?
Tax - £104 (inc credit card charge)
MOT (on Thursday)- £52
But Friday the power steering belt went so it's in the garage to have that done, no idea on cost but the tow to the garage will be about £50. Plus the MOT had an advisory saying I need two new tyres on the front so that's a £120+ bill in the next few weeks.

As someone once said on here as to what to look at when you buy a coupé - your bank account as it will never look so good!

Picked up the car and it was £35 for the tow and £71 for two new belts and fitting. (so that's the new brake discs from the group buy out the window \:\( ) Then this morning the belts were squealing like a pig in a slaughter house so it's back at the garage! Bloke said it wasn't the belts but something else. If I didn't know and trust him I would say he was pulling a fast one. \:mad\:

When a belt squeals is coz its slipping so it cant be anything else, think he's trying to pull a fast one !!!

He thinks it's the tensioner and not the belts. He's done as much as he can and said if it carried on it was a "main dealer" job. So a trip to Motor-Mech then.... \:\(
