The test is done in Goverment NCT centres, with twin bays a set of emission, suspension testing rig, brake test rollers and a hoist in a line on each bay , so there's usually 4 cars a time been done.
The cars go in the entrance, emissions, lights etc, first, then onto brake testing/suspension test on a rig ( interesting to to see the back box swaying on the suspension rig
) and rollers, then on the hoist to check brake lines/bushings visible check on the underside, then out the exit door.
Then if you pass they give you the keys and cert thru the hatch, or bring you into the office and tell you what failed! You have 21 days to get it sorted and re-tested.
