Finally Coupe came to me!

After waiting nearly a month, finally Coupe came to me
There are a lot of work on it before I really become a good car.
I start by gluing the forums sticker on rear window

Yesterday I decided to start work. In Bulgaria it's cold and snowing! I managed to remove only the front bumper before I freeze

Today I continued to work on Coupe and emerged a few questions:
1. LE models have a switch to turn off the passenger airbag? On the dashboard is blinking an orange light (second from left to right)?
In the pictures you can see how people in Germany solved the problem with flashing orange light!
2. In Coupe found code card with 13 digits. This card is for the alarm, or.....?

If the light flashes there is probably a problem with the air bag. I think it's a common fault to do with the sensor. Does it flash with the passenger air bag switched on or off It was an option to have the switch or not
The blue code card is the key code for your Meta alrm so that it can be worked on if there is a fault or it needs to be re-coded. They're pretty rubbish and the buttons melt on the fobs. When and if you can replace it

barnacle - I'm sorry for my mistake.

Several hours of work on Coupe and results you can see from the pictures! I found the switch for passenger airbag. It is the off position and if the sticker on the dashboard because someone has not looked for switch...... I found the reason for a lot of smoke (I bought a Coupe with a diagnosis from Germany - blown head gasket) broken shaft of the turbocharger! If the forum would be useful, on Saturday I will make detailed pictures for the replacement of timing belt and repair of turbo.

From today, the engine is with new timing belt, valve cover (from my Bravo) and fitted new aluminum bottom pulley with guard. These days I will clean the engine and install it back.

Coupe is already registered in Bulgaria.
Weekends, traveled with him around 300 miles.
There have several new electrical problems:
1. Heater fan speed varies continuously and can not be stopped.
2. When open the door, always light bulb for reading(fenced)

3. Indicator for passenger airbag continues to blink.
In testing, shows a strange error to me!

There is also a "mechanical" problem:
My girlfriend can not drive a Coupe. She was asked to leave the driver's seat almost immediately! This keep the paint on bonnet and bumper.

Now I'm sure in this car has some magic.
I can already tell that I am one of you.

After not much mileage, the clutch started to slipping.
Already been purchased and delivered ( clutch and brake pads).

I want to thank and commend Wanapart (and especially Kevin).
They fulfilled all my whims and caprices, and the parts that I ordered arrived very quickly.
It remains to find time to fit them.

The last "parts" that I installed in my Coupe are the dash rings. I organized their production for some Coupe's in Bulgaria.

The place is awful, but most importantly, the car was covered and winter and snow does not damaged.
From the pictures, you see that even the brake discs have absolutely no rust and the car looks like yesterday was parked (except dust).
I bought some chemicals and soon will do serious cleaning and polishing.

After two months waiting, finally the original alarm was delivered.

I bought it in mid-March, but it arrived today. On the packaging has a stamps of almost all European countries
I'll try to keep my Coupe as a completely original LE model.

We don't have insurance, and repair will be at my expense, but most importantly that we are well, and body panels will be repaired easy.
Unfortunately, once again I am without a car because and my Bravo has recently broke power steering pump.

I can not find a good bonnet in Bulgaria and repair will be delayed, but I have a few winter months to find them.
Today arrived and heater rings, that I ordered from a group buy on the forum!
They look very good!

Yes, I was in Torino - the yellow Coupe with "Trip To Torino" decal on the windshield. My car is also damaged but not as much. Several major dents on the hood and on the roof and small dents on all other details.

After seven years I think it's time to write again in this topic
At the end of last year, the car was taken out of the garage where it had rested for six years

and work on body panels slowly began.
I send a Coupe to a dent repair company(PDR technology) and she's almost done.

I really wanted after the repair that there was no body filler on the panels and the videos show that this was achieved.

Some friends gave me a parts, others - helped find and transport them.


Last week I ordered and a full set silicone water hoses from TWINZ MOTORSPORT....
There is still a lot of work to be done, but the first few steps have been taken!

Yes, I’ve been caught out myself, it was actually a group buy on here for a hose kit. Turned out it was not the bargain it was meant to be. Other things have been a stainless steel manifold that have stuck in my mind. Stick to proven known parts, then again it’s hard to sift out the duds at times.

On this date exactly 8 years ago, a Coupe was crushed by the largest hail I had ever seen
Two days ago a friend sent me some photos taken the day before I left for Turin for the 20th anniversary.


I have already bought a tailgate and the car can go to the paint shop soon.
I also have a gift from Japan!
