Practical performance car magazine coupe feature - 14/10/2012 10:16

Not sure what sort of feature it will be but there will be a coupe in this months edition available 1st October.
Hopefully 2 coupes will feature.

Re: Practical performance car magazine coupe feature - 14/10/2012 20:50

John I'm guessing 1st Nov not Oct? wink

Do you know more about what it will be about this time?
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: Practical performance car magazine coupe feature - 14/10/2012 20:58

It involves my car and maybe one other at Santa pod.
Not sure if the location will be mentioned in this edition or if its just a photo shoot and a brief write up.
And for those of you who have never seen me I believe I'm in the magazine somewhere.

That's all I know.

Paul, I can SEE you....! Your trousers have shrunk; you need a word with 'er indoors.

Brilliant article though. Just one problem... John is photographed from behind looking like Indiana Jones... NOT! Where is the whip, and where did you get that hat??

Great publicity for our cars though. Good job,

Tim

Yeah well after the criticism by various members ,following the autoitalia feature ,that i shouldve thanked people who didn't get involved I thought best I mention the ones that did.

So big thanks to Porkypaul, and Barbz for there help towards this.

I'm sure my Indiana jones hat will be the topic of conversation for some time laugh

You bet... thumb

Not much use in your Coupe - you'd need a sunroof and the hat would need to be applied from the outside....

Re: Practical performance car magazine coupe feature - 29/10/2012 18:45

Went down the 1/4 for testing only.
Wasn't safe to push the cars.

My car wasn't fuelling right hence the recent addition of the Omex.

Just read the article. Well done for all the work you (+ Barbz and the guy who mapped the Omex) have put into it. Coupe looks awesome too - man I really need to spend some money on the my Coupe's bodywork!

First time I've actually bought a PPC issue in years, rather than just reading it in WH Smiths!

Re: Practical performance car magazine coupe feature - 30/10/2012 20:42

Glad you enjoyed it KJ

I must admit its one random magazine.

Usually mags flow very predictably through there content whereas this one has some very different approaches to editing.
And it's the only mag I have read from cover to cover because it always keeps you entertained.

Loads of content and things going on.
Thoroughly enjoyable bedtime reading.

johnnybravoturbo I would like to mention after a serious head injury a few days ago and after being rushed to oxford hospital accident and emergency the members of staff were trying there best to try and get me to remember anything at all then after 6 hours I remembered I had a car, and nothing less than a Fiat Coupe, and apparently I wouldn't shut up about somebody called "johnnybravoturbo's Coupe"

Every member of staff in Oxford Radcliffe Hospital now know all about your car as they were trying desperately to keep me awake by getting me to speak about your car as thats the only thing I could remember. crazy

Your cars now even more famous
Congratulations you helped keep me conscious by my love for your car.

Hi

First of all sorry to hear about what happened.

Glad your ok now.

I visited that hospital alot when my dad was ill and I must say despite the interior appearance and lack of parking there staff is second to none.

There was a nurse there called Eve who I remember well.
Despite being a nurse for over 30 years she was still very caring and enthusiastic as ever.
Very inspiring to the younger generation and devoted to her job.

If you had mentioned John Cartlidge which is my real name then maybe they would've remembered my Dad who spent alot of time there.
Professor Newton-Davis and the Radcliffe hospital were the only specialists in Britain for a rare neurological condition called myasthenia gravis which my father had.
They all worked very closely with him and tried numerous tests to try and overcome this.

Due to there care I was able to have my dad around for a few more years so will always be grateful for that.

Unfortunately I also heard that the professor died in a car crash recently which was a real blow to the future research into this condition not to mention the loss of a very influential and intellectual person.

Thanks for taking the time to put that post up and glad that in someway I maybe helped in keeping you awake.

If your ever in the area pop in and I will take you for a run in it
Hope you have a great new year

Regards John
