cess of Intake hose

I was in the process of renewing my coolent hoses with a silicone kit in case the dreaded CHOD rupture was near! As it turned out the CHOD hose was very near perished so I made it just in time.

I am now looking at the air intake side of things and realise that the short hose between the throttle body and the air tube mounted to the side of the rocker cover has also seen better days.

I have read that the Fiat original is now no longer available and in any case the FMIC hoses are in silicone already so I thought it would be a simple matter of measuring the hose and ordering a straight silicone from ASH or similar.

Oh no!- The hose measures 73mm diameter both ends so it is a straight hose not a reducer. No UK supplier seems to stock 73mm as a diameter; 70mm yes and 76mm yes but not 73mm.
Anybody else ever changed one of these, preferably in blue silicone and if so where can I get one. Even on EBay there is only a HK based site with one and it's too short (60mm not 100mm+).

Yep replaced mine with silicone one from viper performance, seem to remember having an issue with the size, might have gone fractionally on the large side but it has clamped down fine with no leaks.

There are loads of folk on here with aftermarket one's,maybe even custom made from a group buy ? I'm not one of them but I'd say, the 76mm would be ok as the jubilee will take up the 3mm easily enough.

If i remember correctly my old rubber hose had stretched a fair bit and would almost fall of without the hose clips, i measured the od of the inlet and i think it was something like 74mm and the silicone must have been 76mm and when it was clamped up was good and tight. I also remember buying a longer length and cutting it down to size.

Do samco not make a kit?
