Hi guys just wondering if anyone has any advice took my coupe out to blow the cob webs off today and at high rpm I had a bit of boost hesitation what could cause this so I know where to start

Is it standard with the OE EBV connected?

The standard ebv is connected but the engine is modified

There could be a few causes,
Its the same characteristics as mine had when a coil pack was starting to break-down and fail for instance.

If you still have the standard EBV they have a habit of going South, mine did when I fitted a Gtec1 in 2005, best get a boost controller or a BCV especially if modified. I seem to remember I would get fluctuating revs/or undulating waves of power when on full chat. The BCV and boost gauge sorted it and it has been fine for 14 years.
