VIS suddenly started to run poorly

Hi all,

Car was running sweetly but then just before the end of my journey to the pub for lunch I noticed a slight misfire.

Then after lunch when I started her up I noticed idle was hunting. When I tried to pull away she wouldn't rev. Got home ok by being light on throttle but poor running all the way, stalling when arriving at junctions.

No warning lights, all dials reading normal. Seems like a sensor problem. Can anyone suggest best course of action? I don't have an obd reader.

It could just be jealousy because I got the LE out today for the first time in ages and that's when the VIS got moody.

Spotted the cause. The rubber duct between throttle body and MAF meter had come away from the throttle body. Will sort it tomorrow. Have to remove ECU to get to the clip. Grrr.

Eh? It's unusual for the duct to come off on it's own.
Do you have dodgy engine stabiliser bushes or and engine mount problem?
I had splits in the duct in my Hgt.

No, just a clip not done up tight enough. Jubilee clip on there as opposed to standard clip.
