Dodgy indicator - solved

Not a new problem but have had the usual right indicator issue - works from cold for 5 mins then stops which is probably down to the solder and there's a link how to sort somewhere on the forum. Finding a 'new' 7 pin relay is a problem and if you're looking for an ex fiat coupe part then prices are steep. Using lateral thinking brought me to an Alfa forum and some of their marques experience similar issues but they identified that a Siemens relay does the trick - BMW Flasher Relay 1388533 Siemens 72BB301 . They are more readily available and got mine for £18 and all sorted now smile

So it is a direct replacement? Good to know! smile Maybe we can include this information in the rare parts thread(s)?

Yes mate - a straight replacement and was surprised it was a BMW part to be honest. Makes you wonder what other coupe relays there are where alternatives (and cheaper) will fit the bill confused

If it's a Siemens/Bosch standard part, makes sense that the Italians would use it off the shelf just as the Germans did smile
