Oil pressure gauge after battery swap

Oil pressure gauge after battery swap - 09/11/2019 16:13

Evening folks, very quick one
Not had the car that long and just put a new battery on after being flat for a couple of days.
All connected up and everything working, cents locking , alarm etc
Just jumped in and turned the key and before pushing the starter button I see the oil pressure gauge is at zero and light is on.
I can’t rem for the life of me wether it should be like that or at 3 bar when ignition is on with engine off.
Done a search on this and just plenty on what oils pressure should be when running.
Been a long day and didn’t want to push that button for obvious reasons !

Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

If the engine isn't running, there isn't any movement of the oil pump and therefore no oil pressure... if it rises when you turn the engine on and the light goes out, don't worry.
