Anyone know how to remove this. It is 180 degrees out so blasting on windscreen while it should be sending air to front vents. Tried pulling it but will not come off!

It "is" a pull-off job. It's possible that's someone has jammed it back on by force and it's now resisting.

Can you get a flat-blade screwdriver around the back of it? Your problem though will be protecting the surrounding area from damage.

Molegrips with plenty of jaw-padding and two stockinged-feet either side of the console and the handbrake up your 4rse would be my recommendation smile

Only the centre dial is a pull off!

I think he’s talking about the directional dial. That’s accessed by removing the centre console

Yes indeed selector not fan speed. That sounds right. Console off then. Have to fix it rattling anyway!

Ah sorry my misunderstanding....

In that case, I have no doubt you'll be following this or a similar howto - all stripped of pics by our friendly Photobucket rolleyes

That's great folks thanks - managed to take off console and turn the knob around - cleaning up after the knob who put it on the wrong way around!
