VIS diagnostic port? - 19/01/2019 14:27
I know it's different to earlier coupes but is it OBD or other? And where's the port? I'm assuming it's on top of the ECU in the engine bay...
Pointers welcome.
It's the same plug in the same lication Tody.

But it's neither OBDII nor the same as the 16 or 20. Probably a customised OBD-I. I've never managed to make sense of the vague documentation I have (though I haven't tried very hard).

Mmmm. Thanks Neil.
Perhaps VIS should stand for Virtually Indecipherable Software.

The Sykes ACR4 kit works with the VIS apparently, never tried it myself but it's listed in the manual - as Bosch ME3.1 as opposed to the Bosch M2.10.4 for the 20v NA and turbo.

Thanks Graham. The VIS is fine, I just thought I might check for any error codes.
Cheers
Are you getting an injector light?

Thanks, I'll take a look. No problems with the Coupé. I was just planning to check.
