New turbo

Hi guys,

I just bought a beautiful 1999 20vt in moon grey. The previous owner has put a garrett gt2871r turbo on it while all the rest is still standard. I know that this turbo is no good on a standard engine so i am looking for a replacement turbo. Is it best to just buy an original tb2810 or is there a better turbo for it? My main goal is reliability but a bit of extra power is always welcome.

You can have a standard turbo rebuilt to either a stage 1 or 2, this would allow some extra power after a remap along with reliability.

Is it possible tot eind one that is already been upgradeded? I don't have the original turbo.

I can organise a turbo rebuilt to a stage 1 or 2, above that and you'll need supporting mods ideally, I'll ask for some prices and pm you a message.

Is it possible tot fit a Garrett gt2554r?

The 25 is smaller and under powered in comparison to the 28 so research GT28R and RSR, both can be run with standard internals but you will need supporting modifications.

I am not really looking to change too much from the standard set-up, just looking for a good, reliable turbo. I do have an uprated clutch tough and might get a walbro fuelpump of necessary.
