Intersting modification

I've not seen this mod done before on a coupe. Blacked (nearly) out front sidelights. It does make the 'mouth' look larger and with a black grill seems to smarten the front end. Anyone else done this at all and have other photo's?

Note - I am not discussing the legality of this, just the style. Pic taken from 'For Sale' thread for the car.

Along similar lines.....was there not an orange coupe from one of the foreign sites with the sidelights removed or covered by a longer grill? Mind thinking at the time it looked well.

Did this on mine years ago ( sprint blue as well) did look smart ...later changed to silver LE grille,as painted the inside of the headlights silver, felt it then looked cleaner ,lighter,sharper...even more modern

And what do you think about this "Mustang style solution"?
It is a photoshop, removing foglights etc, substituting them with circular Carello lights
