Rear sun blind - 03/06/2017 22:23

At last after finding a really reasonable off-the-shelf blind from ebay, having exhausted all hope of getting anything remotely OE,
here is the result, aided by the metalwork skills of dante giacosa.

Good job.

But do you know the manufacturer of the original OE blinds in your research?

I would think they would give you the specifics of the OE blind .

Looks good but I must ask, is a rear blind much use especially in the UK? Do you have it up or down most of the time and isn't it a nuisance climbing into the back to lift it and lower it?

Fair question indeed - if it's a hot day and it's parked in the sun I've no problem saving the seat tops and keeping it cooler smile

But an electrically-operated version...... cool

I always used to leave mine up to, and then found that the "spring" or whatever it is that rolls them back in seemed to have stopped working. I blame the kids who used to keep fiddling with them when they were sat in the back...
