At last after finding a really reasonable off-the-shelf blind from ebay, having exhausted all hope of getting anything remotely OE, here is the result, aided by the metalwork skills of dante giacosa.
Looks good but I must ask, is a rear blind much use especially in the UK? Do you have it up or down most of the time and isn't it a nuisance climbing into the back to lift it and lower it?

Fair question indeed - if it's a hot day and it's parked in the sun I've no problem saving the seat tops and keeping it cooler
But an electrically-operated version......

I always used to leave mine up to, and then found that the "spring" or whatever it is that rolls them back in seemed to have stopped working. I blame the kids who used to keep fiddling with them when they were sat in the back...
