Gearknob adapter

I'm about to order a gearknob from We are Likewise. I need to know which size adapter I need to order but don't have a coop here to check.

There's a video guide (link below) for how to measure - can anyone tell me?

I've got a note saying I need 12mm but can't confirm where I got that information from

Just so it's clear, I'm asking for the width of the brass coloured shaft the gearknob is fitted to.

It says in that thread an M10 die was used to thread it, so presumably the shaft is 10mm. That's the metal shaft as used in later 20vt coupes, not sure about the earlier plastic ones.

I've sourced a slightly different gearknob, comes with an adaptor that goes on with grub screws, no need to thread the shaft. Think is was a Richbrook possibly, must check.

Probably not to everyones taste, but very early on I won the bidding on here of the chrome knob/ handbrake cover and gear surround. Blingy right enough, but to me it looks the part. It’s part of the Coop extras. Joe had the bidding sale.A few years ago now.

I had that chrome handbrake/gearknob set on my original coupe... looked quite nice but come the winter they were so cold to touch that I wished I'd left them standard.
